Currently Reading: I can’t remember the last time I read a book in 48 hours, but @belleburden ’s debut memoir “Strangers” was so riveting I couldn’t put it down. I wrote about this book in my roundup of February & March Favorites, but I wanted to share a little more about why I loved it (despite the heartbreaking narrative) and why I think it’s important in our current Epstein Files era. Also, it was just announced that @gwynethpaltrow will portray Belle Burden in a Netflix adaptation of the book. I think Paltrow will be perfect in the role, although the dissolution of Burden’s marriage is far from a conscious uncoupling. Read more in the latest dispatch of The Current on @substack . I love that @voguemagazine was in on the joke with this cover (two devils wearing custom @prada !) but what really makes it special is the fact that it was conceived, photographed, styled, and starring women who are all in their 70s and 80s. Night at the ballet: @balletwest1 6th annual spring soirée 🩰✨🌸 The most beautiful night supporting the most beautiful dancers. The evening began with cocktail hour in the lobby at Capitol Theatre in downtown SLC, followed by dinner on stage, special performances by Ballet West, a live auction to raise funds for @bw_academy , and an after party with a Diamond Lounge by @octannerjewelers featuring @pasqualebruni , plus a Swedish candy cart by @ohsoswede . @mara_mazdzer and @fuseweddingsandevents created a stunning garden setting for the gala 👏👏 with lush, fragrant florals by @artisanbloom and catering by @culinarycrafts . As someone who has attended every season of Ballet West since I was a little girl, there’s nothing more magical to me than dining on stage at Capitol Theatre seated next to former principal artists like the amazing @allidebona who I admired for years. 🤩 Tickets are on sale now for Ballet West’s 2026/27 season, and this summer Ballet West will host its first Summit Festival in Park City, July 15–17. Stay tuned for more details about the three-day event, including an exclusive outdoor dinner party (in partnership with special guests! 😉), exciting film screenings, and a performance under the stars.

A taste of @brownstone22slc , my new favorite restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City. 🥂 Brownstone 22 is the second restaurant by the team behind @felt_slc , @richromney and @cheftravisherbert , who was recently nominated for a James Beard Award. This swanky restaurant and seafood bar serves big-city vibes but in a chic, intimate setting. Housed in a historic former bank building, the original bank vault stands behind the bar and now serves as a wine cellar. The restaurant’s stylish interiors are by Gary Vlasic of @v.projectdesign . Marble tabletops and mood lighting are arranged around plush banquette seating and cozy booths. Grab a seat at the bar for a a dozen oysters and a Brownstone Martini, or book a table on the mezzanine for an elevated perch to watch the scene below. My favorite design detail is the large Picasso-esque mural in the dining room, hand-painted by an artist from L.A. The menu features seafood, steaks, housemade pastas, and more, as well as cold and raw bar items, ranging from a classic seafood tower to Idaho Red Trout ceviche to uni toast. There’s also an extensive selection of martinis, cocktails, beer, bubbly, and wine. My friends and I loved the shrimp arancini, salmon belly sashimi, and bistro burger, made with bacon jam, candied bacon, aged white cheddar, and butter lettuce on a brioche bun and served with fries. We can’t wait to go back and try more items on the menu. Make a reservation online or try your luck nabbing a seat at the bar.
