The month of February is and will always be a hard month for us, but with the help of our generous volunteers, donors, and partners, we are able to turn grief into positive action!
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! We know Ben is smiling down on us and proud that his light has not stopped shining 💡

Because of your generosity, we were able to honor Ben’s 30th heavenly birthday, not just with tears, but with service.
Instead of mourning the entire day, we spent it giving — caring for our community, restoring smiles, and spreading kindness in his name.
Together, we treated 28 patients with the help of 15 incredible volunteers who showed up with open hands and open hearts. Every patient cared for, every smile restored, every LuvLine shared — it all happened because you chose to give.
There is something deeply healing about turning grief into action. You helped transform what could have been only a day of heartbreak into a day filled with purpose.
Ben’s love was rooted in service. And through your donations, that love continues to move through the community.

In 3 days, we host our 2nd Annual Free Dental Clinic in San Diego.
This event is especially meaningful since it falls on Ben’s birthday. We started this clinic in his honor, and every smile we help protect carries his loving spirit forward.

We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Hearts Over Hate and Jewish Family Service (JFS) of San Diego to launch a fund dedicated to supporting families impacted by violent crime.
This fund was created to provide emergency financial assistance, housing support, food access, and grief resources to families navigating the unimaginable.
Rooted in compassion and action, this fund is open to families across San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties—regardless of background or faith.
Together, we’re honoring Ben’s legacy by helping others find hope in their darkest moments. 💛

Today I want to thank you for leaving a project behind for me to see through. The day that I heard this horrifying news, I was thousands of miles away. I lost my footing and crumpled. If it wasn’t for strangers helping me to get on my flight home I wouldn’t have been able to go on.. But I had to. I knew how much you loved and cared for your brothers, and I also remembered how excited you were telling me (just one day ago) about an amazing floss that you were developing to convert non flossers!
