December 15th we gather once again, 3-7PM at @abbotsfordconvent to finish the year with those that mean the most to us. We love bearing witness to the various forms of creative expression that takes place on our stages. Big love to all those who were part of our collective this year and our first festival activation at @spiritoflovegatheringg ! 💜 It's been a crazy year for many of us, but even in the chaos and darkness, there is always light. The theme of this month is joy. HeartBeats is an open mic at its essence, but it is so much more. You’re invited to come and share your open heart with a present audience who are primed to receive and show appreciation. Expressions come in the shapes and forms of music, poetry, comedy, or whatever the performer chooses. We look forward to seeing you all!

A couple of Sundays ago we gathered to celebrate cultural expression on the HeartBeats stage. In a time where it feels like divides are being fuelled amongst us, it’s more important than ever to remember that we are really all the same inside. We launched HeartBeats exactly two years ago on this coming Sunday. It started because there is so much magic that happens at Confest. The flow. The music. The authenticity. The community. The connection. The openness. And we wanted to recreate this feeling in the city, so we didn’t have to wait a whole year for Confest (or half a year if you go to Spring Confest). ✨ Feature Announcement ✨ We are thrilled to welcome the talented musical force Noy Ben Ami ( @noybenamiofficial ) to the HeartBeats stage this Sunday. 💜 Noy Ben Ami is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter whose eclectic experience covers front-manning funk bands, solo performing unique covers, and writing his own multi-genre original songs. Being originally from Israel with Iraqi heritage, Noy brings Middle Eastern and Mediterranean sounds and techniques to his compositions and singing, blended with the modern worlds of music we all know and love. Noy has been in Australia for 6 years, playing gigs around Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Brisbane for 3 years, moved on to 3 years of performing in Sydney, and after receiving permanent residency as a distinguished talent, recently moved on to a new chapter in Melbourne. Dan’s passion for music began at a young age. After moving on from the I.T world, Dan decided to pursue his passion for all things music, establishing Evoke Sounds and building it in to the beast it is today. Evoke Sounds is Australia’s most unique production house.
