Alright folks, here’s the final segment of the #MADMIDI tribute to Nintendo 64. These four games really impacted my childhood and how I perceive entertainment and creating an engaging multimedia experience with my own art. Hopefully you enjoyed the nostalgia and hearing these familiar sounds reused in a new way. I had so much fun creating this piece and revisiting these games after such a long time away from them. It’s also been so great to see people’s reactions live and feel like this weird way of expressing myself is relatable to other people who enjoyed these games. For those not in the loop: I am triggering all the sounds and video samples by playing the drums. No backing tracks or sequences, all live in real time. This is done using drum triggers, Ableton live, Clyphx, Resolume, a fantastic #maxforlive device from @heapsofbleepsaudio , touch osc, and Resolume.
