We’re Excited to Launch Our New Podcast!
Our podcast was inspired by the many requests we’ve received from our participants over the years. We wanted to create a space where these incredible artists could share their stories. What better way to do that than through a podcast that brings together music, art, and authentic voices? These stories are told straight from the source, with participants being interviewed by their peers to offer candid and inspiring insights into their journeys.
In our debut episode, we sit down with Eric Crampton, aka CRUMP$, a rising star in the music scene. Despite his hectic schedule juggling production, promotion, and DJing, Eric has made a significant impact in a short time. Growing up in both South Africa and Australia, his diverse life experiences have deeply influenced his sound and creative vision. In this episode, Eric shares his journey, the challenges he’s faced, and how his past continues to shape his future in the music industry.
A huge thank-you to the exceptionally talented Brigitte Hermione for hosting this engaging and heartfelt conversation. LINK IN BIO!

Back To School 🎒
Heaps Decent is back to facilitate another term of music & visual art programs at Reiby Youth Justice Centre.
We're passionate about creating opportunities for young people to access the arts, and further supporting them to find their voice & share their stories!
At Heaps Decent, we believe all young people deserve opportunities to express themselves creatively and to contribute to shaping our cultural landscape.
Whether it's through splashes of paint, scribbles of lyrics, or mashing MIDI pads, our facilitators create safe spaces for self expression, education, connection, and creativity 🎨
Shoutout to our facilitators for showing up each week with care, consistency and creativity – pictured here is one of our senior music facilitators Tom @b3ddy__ who has been contributing to Heaps Decent's mission since 2021
👀 new podcast episodes coming soon 👀 Our amazing host @itztoah is back at it.
Welcome to the Heaps Decent Podcast, where we explore how art and music can empower youth by giving them a platform to express themselves, share their stories, and find their voice. Each episode, we dive into inspiring conversations with artists, community legends and change-makers who are using creativity to build confidence and transform lives. Live music, but make it accessible 🎶
We’re hyped to see our friends behind MyGigPass opening doors for the next generation of live music fans across NSW.
Every week, there’s a drop of free tickets to gigs all over Sydney featuring local legends and international acts. If you’re 18–25, this is your sign to get amongst it!
At Heaps Decent, we’re all about creating opportunities—not just to make music, but to be part of the culture around it. That means being in the crowd, discovering new artists, building connections, and feeling like you belong in those spaces too.
Big love to our friends at @vanguardnewtown@beauneilson and @theoxfordartfactory@lmva_au for helping spearhead this initiative and backing young people in a real way.
If you’re 18–25, sign up, check the weekly drops, and don’t sleep on it.
Your next favourite artist might be one gig away 🔥

Our Latest Trip to Dubbo ✈️
At Orana Youth Justice, our team delivered workshops in beat production, songwriting, and recording with the young people there.
The work we do is about creating access — giving young people opportunities to explore music, build skills, and learn constructive forms of self-expression.
For some, it was their very first time making music!
