It’s about that time again! KOH prep is well underway on many exhaust systems. If you’re interested in having your system insulated now is the time to schedule it as we get incredibly busy towards the end of the year.
We also have some exhausts in house that we wanted to highlight as we frequently get questions about tube degradation under our insulation. This system has seen 3 seasons of hard off-road racing and shows zero material issues. Standard exhaust wraps are prone to causing corrosion on even some of the best stainless materials. Wraps allow moisture to penetrate to the tubing material when it’s at temperature and offers its least corrosion resistance. Our outer shell protects the insulation and tubing underneath to prevents this from happening. Corrosion is not an issue we see and not one to worry about.
Take a look at some of the details on @mazzei_formula incredible 5 rotor system. In order to maintain control of temperatures in the rear clamshell it was crucial to insulate the exhaust system to protect sensitive components. This was done using our inconel shell along with stainless on rear components. The result is a high performing and durable solution to heat management.
So happy to have the refreshed engine back from our friends at @jimwolftechnology .
We've been waiting to see how all the new parts for 2025 would fit together, and these carbon airboxes along with the @headershield covered primaries have Kels' plane jane VQ engine looking like a proper motorsport engine!
@spage.sport did an incredible job on the airboxes and we have just the perfect amount of negative clearance to the engine components. A little filing and we've used up all the space available to us!

These are for motorsport customers only who understand that this is not a plug and play application. We're unfortunately too busy with work to be able to provide much installation assistance, but if you know how to connect a throttle cable and tune a standalone is a very easy job!
Hopefully we're on the dyno very soon!
PS, this engine NA makes as much power as the GS's turbocharged 2J! They both use the exact same fuel as well, so it's a fair comparison!
