Hope Boykin (@hbdance ) and Terri Ayanna Wright (terriayannawright) are a duo who bring together prose and dance. Boykin is both a choreographer and writer, and Wright is the dancer who accompanies the spoken word portion of the piece.
In their Brief But Spectacular take on creating their own paths, Hope and Teri show their uniqueness through voice and movement.

For more than twenty years, mentorship has been key in the way I give back and build up the next generation. I have watched students turn into colleagues, choreographers, icons, and friends.
Over the past two years, HBArtsCollective has gotten together a small cohort of emerging artists, after their first or second year from college, university, conservatory studies, training or second companies AND we have been a community and skill building resource for them.
We are now accepting applications for Cohort 4 of The NEXT!.
Cohort 4 of The NEXT! will meet virtually, two Saturdays a month, July - November, at 9:30am.
We build community and learn through discussions on:
* foundations for artistic practice
* professional development
* navigating artists resources
* interview and on-camera prep
* financial literacy
* your digital footprint
* and UNDERSTANDING THE NO’S
equipping the next generation of creative leaders with resources for success.
This work is so important to us, each cohort member will receive an honorarium upon completion of the program.
