Mini Book Reviews:
Karma Never Sleeps - R. John Dingle
Rating: 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 1 - Gus Wheeler Series
A series of small town murders sees the FBI brought in to investigate. A group of women, lifelong friends, are being targeted with two already dead. Great start to a new series. I did guess correctly but an enjoyable ride!
Deep Fear - Rachel Lynch
Rating: 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 2 - DI Kelly Porter Series
A methodical killer is on the loose in the Lakes. Porter and her team are working flat out and feeling the strain. Is the killer right under their noses? Another good instalment of the series. Tense and creepy.
The Ruin - Dervla McTiernan
Rating: 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 1 - Cormac Reilly Series
Secrets of the past will always expose the crimes of the present. Newly transferred back to Galway, DS Reilly reviews a cold case which seems to still be very much relevant today. Gritty, Irish police procedural which hits hard.
Count The Dead - T.M. Payne
Rating: 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 4 - DI Sheridan Holler Series
DI Sheridan Holler is on the hunt for a killer she didn’t even know existed. Suddenly, she sees the pattern and realises he won’t ever stop. Another tense and exciting instalment in the series. Emotional ending to the ongoing secondary plot was so well done and hit hard. Excellent.
The Resort - Sara Ochs
Rating: 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Bodies are dropping on a Thai island with plenty of people keeping secrets. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Unreliable characters, a few red herrings and a good twist at the end.
Memorial Park - Louisa Scarr
Rating: 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 2 - PC Lucy Halliday Series
A missing child. A family telling lies. Time is running out. A great second outing for Lucy and her dogs. Gripping read that has all the emotions flowing. Short chapters, dual perspectives and an emotional conclusion to an important secondary plot.

The Murder Mile - Lesley McEvoy - the fabulous Jon @booksta_jon raves about this series, so I just had to get in on the action!

Mini Book Reviews:
Play With Fire - T.M. Payne
Rating: 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

A woman is missing and burned hands are delivered to two addresses. Are the cases linked? Dark, complex and so very well thought through. Another great instalment in the series!
Imposter - LJ Ross
Rating: 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 1 - Dr Alexander Gregory
Forensic psychologist, Dr Alexander Gregory, is invited to help a rural police force in Ireland to catch a killer. A leading character hiding a secret and a twisty murder mystery? What’s not to love! Great start to a new series.
The Caller - Chris Carter
Rating: 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gallery Of The Dead - Chris Carter
Rating: 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 9 - Robert Hunter Series

A young woman runs for her life but is gunned down on a family estate. DS Gabe Martin is given lead on the investigation and finds a long list of possible suspects. Great first book in the series. Keen to know more about Gabe’s past!

Books I Cancelled Plans For…..
Ok, own up, we’ve all done it, right?
We’ve all been so sucked in by a book that we’ve been unable to tear ourselves away from it. We’ve then been left with no choice but to cancel what we had planned. Party, dinner, cinema, coffee catch up…. No plans are safe when we have a good book in our hands!
Which plans have you cancelled to continue reading your book?
