SlayIcon Wamego is a Two-Spirit Indigenous Afro-Latina Trans+ activist, drag performer, and co-founder of Haus of Transcendent (HOT), leading transformative, community-centered work across Cleveland.
A member of the Potawatomi tribe, SlayIcon’s leadership is deeply rooted in healing, cultural connection, and care for community. Through HOT, she has helped distribute hundreds of HIV test kits, thousands of harm reduction resources, and essential supplies—while connecting LGBTQI2S+ individuals to critical support services.
Her impact goes beyond numbers. By building trust and meeting people where they are, SlayIcon is creating pathways to stability, care, and belonging for those navigating housing, employment, and healthcare challenges.

SlayIcon announced that our healthcare directory, HOT Heal, is now live! Visit HOTHeal.org to find locations that offer HIV home test kits, STI testing, treatment, PrEP, ART, and vaccines and that accept Medicaid or offer sliding fee scale. Our directory is available in English, Spanish, and Arabic.

Daulomani Safe Home — a housing and medical services nonprofit in Fiji — is partnering with @HausOfTranscendent to host a community event and distribute donations.
Daulomani has limited access to grants, since most funders only support US- and Europe-based nonprofits. Your donation can make a real difference.
@Jordi.Luke , a speaker at TEDxBrisbane, has a return flight from Brisbane to Cleveland that connects through Fiji. Jordi is extending their stay in Fiji to learn from Edwina and her team about Daulomani’s work with community members facing the greatest barriers. Daulomani helps folks who are unhoused and in need of medical services (eg HIV) that are referred from Fiji community, government or NGOs.
We’ll organize a community event to distribute items donated. Jordi is filling their suitcase with donations — if you have items to give, now’s the time to connect.
Must be donated by April 14. Financial donations are most helpful since I plan on going with Edwina to the store to buy a food, office supplies, and whatever we are able to buy with your support.
If you donate Jordi will buy you:
Earrings - $100 donation
Necklace - $150 donation
Earrings + Necklace - $200 donation
Also, willing to take special request for higher donations since we anticipate having a lot of space in our suitcase for the return flight. 😉
