Thanks @dr__gis for leading this very experimental paper that I'm proud to be second author on along with our co-authors @sleepysekhet and @milfos02 . I had a great time exploring a very important part of research (being reflexive) 🙂

Very proud to have my comic / visual essay (that synthesises my PhD research) published as a book chapter by The International Society for Education through Art. For any teachers or creatives out there, my chapter outlines a practical, evidence-based approach/activity to collaborate art practice.

REDACTION TOOLKIT is a collaborative, interdisciplinary artistic response to real-world conflict and disaster contexts, specifically, the social and cultural phenomena that arise in their aftermath. Artists collaborated through their own speculative contexts developed from a unique mix of the personally-sensed and experienced; as well as historical and currently-emerging events. As a form of self-redaction, the artists have not explicitly revealed the nature of these speculative contexts to their collaborators.

MILP presents - 2pm - 4pm 7th March, 2026
LIGHT WORKS / @light___works (112 Murray St, Boorloo)
Artist talk with Redaction exhibitors and long-time MILP members, Jacob Canet-Gibson / @jacobcanetgibson Stirling Kain / @stirlingkain Harrison Waed See / @harrison.see Jordee Stewart / @j_0rd33 followed by a 1 hour session of MILP. Everyone welcome!
MILP is a social creative community of moving image makers. We welcome makers of video art, artist films, essay films, creative non-fiction films, expanded cinema, slow cinema, experimental documentary, experimental film or video, film poems, experimental animation, and moving image installation to share works in progress. We use a model where up to 10 minutes screening time is followed by 10 minutes constructive feedback from the group. We also welcome screenplays to read together, or other ideas on how the group can support your moving image works in progress.
