Imani Winds & Harlem Quartet • Passion for Bach and Coltrane
Sept 21 • 7:30 PM • The Lensic
Two powerhouse ensembles—Imani Winds and Harlem Quartet—join forces with poet/narrator A.B. Spellman and a jazz trio to perform Jeff Scott’s Passion for Bach and Coltrane, winner of the 2024 Grammy Award for Classical Compendium.
Inspired by Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Coltrane’s A Love Supreme, this visionary work blends classical and jazz traditions with Spellman’s poetry to create a moving, genre-defying experience.
