@breakprotocol.ams meet @marcoaurelio_amsterdam Born and raised in Amsterdam with Morrocan roots. For many years he has been behind the curtains as a contributor and present force in the underground scene in the Netherlands spotting upcoming talent. He is the head honcho behind Amsterdam's Most Wanted and the ADE 24/5 DJ Marathon at amw.fm Marco Aurelio takes you on a journey through rhythms and dynamic soundscapes. His big entry into the scene was in 2013 as a finalist of the infamous TWSTD DJ contest/battles and was formerly known as Sous Dubois. His sets are dynamic, containing shifts that are deep but consistently uptempo, forward driving and energetic, consisting of hypnotic loops that are intricately woven through the layers of his mix. Expect multi layered trippy sounds with tribal percussion, a touch of electro and raw rhythmic powerful beats that pull you into a deep kaleidoscopic experience. He also produced many powerful tracks and co-runs the labels Defuse Records, Cosmic Disco Records and Groom Lake Universal. He loves cooperating with his peers from all over the world, mostly from his home studio in the heart of Amsterdam. He played alongside many of his personal heroes at venues like Paradiso, Mazzo, Melkweg, Thuishaven, AMW, Patterns festival, Dance Valley, Wooferland and countless other clubs and festivals in the Netherlands and beyond.
