This Berlin-based queer collective creates immersive club rituals where bodies, identities and desires move beyond normative boundaries. For Session 8, we bring this ritual to Singapore. BOYCA Boyca’s sound hits like a fast-paced, concrete séance. As a queer, Swiss-born DJ, producer and fixture from Gegen Berlin, Miro Lopasso channels the transformative hypnotism of the underground into something relentlessly physical. His sets are designed with a writhing mass of bodies in mind, leaving the floor sweat-drenched, strobe-lit and charged with raw physicality. Over the years, Boyca has steadily transfigured a thunderous industrial core into a functional, sexy and floor-driven framework. Carving out his own distinct pocket of queer club space where distortion meets devotion, his gritty sound cycles through frenzied drum machine sequences and heaving atmospheres. Unafraid to push boundaries, he anchors his music in a granular Hardgroove, treating the club exactly as it should be experienced: as a raw, uncompromising ritual of transformation.
