@her_trails just covered 345km with 6,794m of elevation in 23 hours and 40 minutes at
@redbullau ’s wildest relay: #RaceTheSun.
After nearly 90km of hilarious jostling and serious performances - in the final section, between us and Team Black Sheep, it looked like they had the edge. But with 1.5km to go, we spotted them - just up the hill, just into town.
Legs gone. Brains cooked. Everyone was hungry.
The whole team switched on, found something beyond exhaustion… and went.
It was madness.
We hunted them down, made our final switch with
@jmfresh21 at 40 metres to go: and crossed ahead.
Yes — the race flipped with 40 metres to spare.
Yes — we came 4th.
Yes — we beat the sun.
Pace? An average of 4 minutes and 7 seconds per kilometre.
Across 345km, 6,794m of vertical, through the night, on no sleep. Let that land.
What we learned?
That the real edge isn’t physical, it’s what you unlock in the collective.
