Our 20-week @ultratrailaustralia 50km and 100km programs kick off on 29 December. If you’re planning to take on the Blue Mountains in 2026, this is your runway. Our UTA 50km and 100km training programs begin on 27 December: a 20-week build designed to take you steadily toward the Blue Mountains in 2026. Her Trails coaching is created specifically for women. Strength, mobility, community connection, structured progression and the mindset support that helps you stay committed when life is full. For first-time UTA runners or women returning with bigger intentions, you’ll be training alongside a community that lifts each other through every phase. Real support. Real structure. Real progress. You can join these programs through the All-In Membership or purchase them as a standalone option. Both give you a complete, female-first pathway to the start line: grounded, intentional and built for the long game. Head to the shop in our bio for direct links to learn more. If you’d like to talk through which pathway is right for you, email us at [email protected] and we can jump on a call to walk you through it.

Meet Coach @thegeeforcee - our incredible strength coach at #hertrails If your upper back feels tight or uncomfortable during runs, Coach @thegeeforcee has two tips to open it up before you begin your runs. Perfect for anyone who is running with a pack, increasing their running volume or intensity, or navigating varied elevations. In short: creating mobility in the upper back before running will improve your posture and breathing. It enhances your running experience by reducing tension and increasing your range of motion - which in turn helps prevent injuries and fine tunes your running mechanics. Gee’s expertise is part of our holistic approach to running at #HerTrails, where we focus on strength, mobility, mindset, and community to support your running journey.

Pre-UTA: I am unstoppable and built for the mountains. Post-UTA: lowering myself onto the toilet is now a 30-minute project. IYKYK.

Intention for UTA: A Celebration Of Life 20 weeks of intentional work to get here. And many more years building confidence, self belief, fitness, community, and a mindset that finally believed I belonged in these spaces to begin with. 17 hours & 53 minutes on trail. No music. No distractions. Just me, my thoughts, and the people around me. The day felt special from the beginning. Rolling through Narrow Neck at first light feeling strong, steady, and genuinely happy to be there. Listening to the didgeridoo climbing iron pot ridge was magical. Aid stations became tiny milestones of progress, salty treats, and encouragement. Also smashed out a 50k PB on my first 100…and it felt epic! I lost my phone at km 56 in my excited aid station state of being! Spiralled for a moment upon realising several kms down the track. Then accepting there was nothing I could do except keep moving forward and trust things would work out. Kedumba got real. Sloshy gut. Heavy legs. Big climbs I frothed on but was aware of the accumulative fatigue. But then I embrace signs of hard work and took in my surroundings. Grabbing onto trees, feeling water dripping off of cliffs, and remembering exactly why I love this. Queen Vic aid station I got a hug from Linda (so needed) she gave me buttery, salty, hot potatoes that absolutely saved my life for the hardest part of the day. This is where we truly locked in! Gut still sloshing Several hours of solid fire trail climbing, lines of head torches, runners recognising me from earlier in the day due to my glitter. Catching up on how our day has gone since we last crossed paths as we move towards the final push of the infamous Furber Stairs. Hearing the finish line gave me another energy top up to climb the stars hard, without it feeling as difficult as expected. And somewhere in those final kilometres I knew all along that this was never just about running 100km. It was about celebrating movement, community, challenge, connection, and being able to problem solve when things became difficult. Emergency poo in the woods kind of difficult 💁‍♀️ Not a glamorous sport… I feel so proud. I did what I came here to do with the best company 💕

This is what a finish line looks like when it belongs to everyone. From the @ultratrailaustralia 11km to 100km, every single #HerTrails athlete finished their event this weekend. And yes, there were big climbs, tired legs, tears, stairs, snacks, strategy and a whole lot of grit. But there was also so much joy. The kind of joy that comes from seeing someone surprise themselves. The kind that erupts when a 22km runner finishes, then turns around to cheer, crew and lift the women still out there in the 50km and 100km. The kind that lives in cowbells, car parks, sweaty hugs, shared chips, wild cheering, finish-line dancing and messages flying across the group chat. This weekend, support moved in every direction. Everyone’s race mattered. Everyone’s effort was seen. Everyone’s finish became part of something bigger. Because this is Her Trails. We train with intent. We care deeply. We laugh loudly. We show up fully. And when one woman is out there chasing her edge, she is never out there alone. We will be buzzing from this one for a long time to come!!

UTA50 - what a day, what an adventure! Hard to do it justice with words, so I’ll let the pictures do the talking (I only lasted 10mins before getting the 📸 out!). My goal was to run happy and soak it all in, and I can safely say I achieved that. So grateful for this experience and for the support of the amazing @her_trails crew! First ultramarathon in the bag! ✅ 📍Gundungurra country

So incredibly proud of this one. I did it!!! What a day - 52km, 2400m elevation and 8000 stairs (but I reckon it was closer to 50 billion). Met some really cool people and got amazing views of the Blue Mountains which I tried to enjoy in between crying 😂 I knew it was going to be a tough day but I don’t think I really grasped how tough. Thank you to my legendary Brissie crew @annalisekad @kyliebevan @jessieclissold and Deanna, plus @samanthagash and the rest of the @her_trails gang for the support throughout the day. Without them I probably would’ve setup camp in a ditch and stayed there! Can’t believe I finished, woohoo! 🥳

We are here in the Blue Mountains, with Her Trails crew teams moving between checkpoints as our UTA 50 and UTA 100 women make their way across the course. Cathy is back for UTA 50, bringing the kind of wisdom that only comes from experience. She knows now that endurance is not just about pushing harder. It is pacing. Fuelling. Listening. Resetting. Letting the day unfold without letting it unravel you. There is something powerful about watching women return to these mountains with more self-trust than before. Stronger, yes. But also steadier. More aware of what it takes to endure well.
