I met @focho 20 years ago.
Iāll never forget the day we met.
How she looked, what she said, how she felt like home.
From our first conversation, I was hooked.
Took us a few years to drop our guards and realize we were made for each other. Took us a few more to figure out marriage and life and children and the wildest of adventures.
The cliche is true - It gets better every year.
My only regret is that I canāt go back and marry you sooner.
Love you, to the moon.
If you saw yesterdayās reel, youāve already felt Hankās story. But these portraits say something words canāt.
Hankās been a pastor, a visionary, a creative leader, and now an entrepreneur, stepping into his next season with courage and heart.
When we took this photo, he shared a verse that felt like it was meant for both of us:
āI have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.ā - John 10:10
Thatās the spirit I see in him. And itās what heās always reflected back to me.
Thank you for your faith, your friendship, and your belief in whatās possible.

After being severely depressed for 2 years, photography has helped me heal, specifically shooting portraits of people I love.
This is Hank. I first met him when he was the associate pastor at Mosaic Church in downtown LA, where I spent a lot of time in my early 30s.
I was always so impressed by how Hank made the Bible so practical. He had a way of speaking truth without pretense, just real, raw, and rooted in love.
Hank and his Amazing wife, Suann, founded Adapt Together. It is the worldās largest crowd funded platform for families raising money for adoption. Now, heās stepping into a new season, launching his own artist management and merchandising firm. I am so proud of him and excited for this next entrepreneurial chapter. Heās always had a passion for people, and this new venture feels like an extension of the same heart he brought to the pulpit.
Hank has had so many distinct chapters in his life. Pastor. Storyteller. Visionary. Now entrepreneur.
During the shoot, Hank shared this verse with me and related it to the depression I experienced and how happy he was to see me living life to the fullest again.
āThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.ā ā John 10:10
That truly embodies the Carpe Diem spirit Hank has always seen in me. That deep sense that I was put on this planet to create, to inspire, and to connect. And in so many ways, Hankās life reflects that same spirit. The courage to evolve. The heart to serve. The faith to keep going.
Thank you, Hank.
