Yumi is 10. One whole decade. 2 whole hands. And we have had our hands full with her! She is funny, observant, smart, brave, deeply feeling, and animal loving. She is absolutely her own self and taught me how to be the same. This past year she has overcome so much and I am so proud of her. She has also made me question everything I thought I knew 😂 here’s to the one and only Yumi.
47. This year feels a little different for me. I feel content. At peace with letting things be as they are. I feel strong. I am clear on areas I need to continue to grow. I love my people more than ever.
More than anything, I feel full of gratitude. I could not have dreamed up Hank, Cora and Yumi. I could not have dreamed up the way my parents and sisters have supported me. I could not have dreamed up my life!
Selfie series: Hank and his girls. He makes it crystal clear to them, through his words, affection, action, work, and presence that they are his number one. Though they eye roll and get annoyed sometimes, I love that they know this at their core. Don’t think they fully realize how lucky they are but I do. We loveyou @Hank !

She is exactly who she was at 3and also completely blossomed.
She is consistent, loyal, even tempered, kind, confident, comfortable in her own skin. This was a HUGE year for her and it was tremendous to watch her grow.
She is the best. That’s it. The best.
