What I probably love most about painting in the streets is becoming part of it- seeing and meeting people from all walks of life drawn to the energy of the wall. I organized and curated this stretch of containers, and I guess one could say ‘managed’, so I was quite consumed with all the background noise and had no clue what I was painting for it myself until two days in- I saw a cat in the yard, and being helplessly me of course I followed it in an attempt to befriend but when my attempt failed I left the yard not realizing I had unintentionally made a different friend; Enrique, a yard employee and fellow animal lover noticed. “I saw you with the cat in the yard earlier. I feed them. I have another pet here. Do you like raccoons? I saved one as a baby” And so it began. 🧼🫧🦝The Soap Yard Raccoons Dedicated to Enrique, whom I’ve noticed will not only stand up for the underdogs but love and care for all creatures around him the best he can, from all walks of life. 🧼Sponsored by and located at Cosco Soap Company, Ridgewood, Queens. #paintjam #nycart #nycartist #streetart #queensny #nycstreetart #muralist #nycstreets #raccoon #artistlife #raccoonart

I remember seeing a headline saying something about this being the first year a work from Art Basel hadn’t gone viral and what that might say about our economy. In reality, a community came together and an artwork did go viral and that says a lot about our media and arts industry. VITAS Tower. Deeply inspired at how writers from all over the world connected and within hours murdered this bando 😍 I don’t consider myself a writer nor a street artist, but opportunities for muralists like myself would not exist today without this unappreciated artform. Thank you to the adventurous writers, the unsung heroes of the art world. “First 48” 48”x36” heavy body acrylic on canvas. Available for purchase. Please tag the writers I haven’t! ☺️ #vitastower #vitasmiami #miami #miamistreetart #streetart #streetartworldwide #montanacolors #graffart #graffitiart #graffitiporn #graff #streetarteverywhere #bando #montanacolors #montanacans #sprayplanet #1up #1upcrew

I’ve been really busy finalizing drafts to kick off the exterior season, and have neglected posting some work from winter and early spring. This one is a little more recent, commissioned by @jonnyfinn and his extended family to celebrate the 65th wedding anniversary of their beloved family matriarch and patriarch 💐 SIXTY FIVE!!!! What a powerful love (and hot couple!! 😉) This image represents the foundation of it and it was such a pleasure to convey for them, thank you Finn family. 25”x18” acrylic on wood stretched canvas. I also really enjoyed painting with unsaturated colors🤍🩶🖤

Emily Finn. Where do I even start 😞 Finding words for things like this are really hard, so I often use art because for me, I guess that’s felt more impactful. I’ve been friends with the Finn family (especially @jonnyfinn and @scottfinn316 💕) for years, so learning of this tragedy hit me extra hard. Every Finn I’ve met- and there’s a lot of ya’ll!!!!- I’ve instantly adored. I never got to meet Emily, but from what I have heard I know she was deeply loved and valued family more than most. She was creative and handy, an amazing dancer, dreamed big, and loved animals (especially her cat), sunsets & the color pink. It wasn’t her murder that impacted so many- it was who she was and how she lived while she was here. Thank you Jonny for asking and trusting me to do this portrait, I’m honored to have painted her and am looking forward to what we have planned next 💐 Normally details wouldn’t matter, but for domestic violence & femicide it unfortunately does, because awareness is the first step to change. Emily’s life was cowardly taken by her ex boyfriend four months ago on Long Island, and her families path to justice has not been a ‘normal’ or ‘easy’ one. Some things have to change. If you or someone you love is experiencing intimate partner violence, you’re not alone. There’s a community waiting to love you. But the responsibility shouldn’t be on the survivors and victims. It should be on us as community members to push our representatives. To talk to our children and loved ones about relationships and boundaries and expression. For abusers to take accountability and utilize their own resources for change. List of national and local resources was too long for the caption, so please see comments for resources. Even if you’re not directly affected right now- keep it in your notes section, it might save someone’s life one day.

💄 “KNOT THE CHANEL!!” 🐸24”x36” heavy body acrylic on canvas 💋AVAILABLE. DM for purchase inquiries 👑This piece is a playfully nostalgic visual representation of the often exhaustive efforts made by ‘fairytale-raised’ fantasizers to find their “prince” in consumerist culture.

I wanted to share this beautiful sentiment by @handoftess about her mother and her grandmother and how music connects us all together. 💟💟💟 @handoftess Music -the project theme- has a profound innate effect on human emotion. I wanted to create a personal testament to that. When I was little and would see prisms my mom told me it was my Grandma Tess (who had died of cancer right before I was born) saying hello to me, and also that when she dies that’s how she will visit me. Gloria Gaynor’s “I will Survive” uplifted Tess during her battle with cancer, and my mom during hers. When I hear “I will survive” by Gloria Gaynor I think of them, along with a mix of emotions: happiness, sadness, pride, longing, love. Almost 20 years later I can still vividly see my dying yet beautiful mother dancing to it up and down our hallway trying to get her body to keep up with the energy in her spirit. Thank you @gloriagaynor for uplifting generations of women in my family. Dedicated to Tess, Claudia, Joanne, Annie, Sienna, and all survivors. 🌈✨ 📍 @underhillwalls Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. Thank you @jeffbeler for the wall & the laughs & the cake🍰 #iwillsurvive #gloriagaynor #nycstreetart #prospectpark #nycartist arttherapy muralist aerosolart

A painting I did awhile back for Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn @goldiehawn , a warm down-to-earth couple that has inspired and supported artists, advocated for the mental health community (shout out to @mindup ) and exemplified healthy true love for generations. Based on an older photo of them from the early 80’s. Thank you @merediththeweasel 💕 24”x18” heavy body @goldenpaints acrylic on stretched canvas

🐄5🤎The donkeys quickly won my heart as the farm favorite, but cow 5 was the friendliest cow- the animals at the heart of Pino Ranch. Painted her in a little over an hour on our last day, with whatever cans we had which were luckily in favor to her dazzling image. Rejuvenated by family, friends, and nature. Love you all so much; extra love & thanks to @j2thesnelly and @t_shinanagans726 and @helloimblanco_ for the unforgettable fun & hospitality. And special thanks to Rooster Cogburnerina for keeping all of Florida safe, especially from that no good Tess Kazinsky!
