This year’s extended panel series at KUNE Festival traces the many shapes and textures of community. Though the term may feel familiar, it continually shifts, as its meaning refracts through different contexts, practices, and lived experiences. Across five distinct conversations, guided by a constellation of moderators and panelists, we explore community as something porous, layered, and in constant motion. Whether on dancefloors, festival grounds, or in radio stations, whether disseminating art practices, modes of exchange, or shared knowledge, communities emerge as living, ever-evolving structures that are both fragile and resilient. As fun as it is to watch me make faces while fixing the beat matching, awkward but -let me believe- cute dance moves, debatable karaoke performances & some weird sign language while 2 records are playing, my latest Myths & Rhythm on Radio Panini is now on SoundCloud. Quite happy with the journey as I enjoy blending different colours and I do have a soft spot for strong identity tunes. But the storyline makes some kinda sense. Always a challenge to pack multiple genres & textures while trying to keep some consistency in an hour. I do enjoy this exercise though. Lots of oldies, couple of personal classics, represses, recent not so recent picks and a lil digi action forthcoming bonus. As usual a massive thank you to the @radio_panini team for the support and props for achieving in such a short amount of time a strong community feeling. This multi-faced artist makes a heavy and modern fusion of Acid, Techno, Trance, inherited from the Uk hardcore and the Detroit techno era. Her unlimited “power of love” brings the partygoers into an incredible trip through music. Producer, keyboardist, DJ, and sound engineer, 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐉 - @handlessdj Handless Dj is hailing from Brussels where he started djing in the early 2010s with the iconic High Needs Low party. He later joined Belgium’s Techno temple, Fuse Club, as a resident for the Beyond collective where, together with a fine crew of Brussel’s underground activists, Pierre, Walrus & Francis99 he hosted guests such as DJ Stingray, Tama Sumo, Theo Parish, XDB, Steven Julien, Mike Huckaby, Marcus Intalex, Jane Fitz, Daniel Bell and many others. Pablo is an obsessive record collector and his DJ sets are driven by his eclectic approach to music, exploring the sub genres of a 30 years legacy of House & Techno and breaking their boundaries through wave, EBM, Bass, soulful and italo-ish infused sounds. They realised they were booking the same acts throughout their years of organising events in Brussels & Copenhagen. Dr Bongiorno was born and they started organising raves and events in Copenhagen along with Eliott Litrowski.
