As true foodies, we wanted to have 10 courses, that symbolize not only 10 years of marriage, but our love story through food.
When we started working with @d.concierge 18 months ago, he instantly got our vision. He knew @bitesbybeehouston was THE ONLY woman for the job, finding out we had already been following her work AND Brittany’s and Joy’s birthday are the same day, we knew it was meant to be!

They saw the event. They didn’t see this part.
“The Rise Up” started as a Women’s History Month dinner for 50. We ended up damn near standing room only.
But what mattered wasn’t the turnout—it was the intention behind the room.
I didn’t want another panel where women are talked at.
We built a space where women could talk with each other—sharing real experiences around entrepreneurship, wealth building, and navigating systems that weren’t designed for us.
The room spanned women 28–50 across industries, backgrounds, and financial stages—but the throughline was the same: we’ve all had to push through something.
There were laughs, there were tears, and there was real-time problem solving happening at the table.
Even down to the details—everything was intentional.
We partnered with @dot.cards because I wanted women to leave with a smarter way to connect—no lost business cards, no awkward “do you have a pen?” moments. Just tap and you’re in.
@topochicousa kept the room refreshed (with and without alcohol), integrated into the experience in a way that felt natural—not forced.
That’s always the goal: brands don’t interrupt the experience—they belong in it. This is what happens when you center community and build with intention, not just optics.

Chapter 37: BIG Pisces NOT the lil one 🕵🏽♀️♓️🥂
What a blessing and ah ha moment it is to realize that you are older than you’ve ever been, while still feeling way younger than you are 🤷🏽♀️ Blessed beyond measure to be physically, emotionally and spiritually sound even in the midst of chaos. And even more grateful for the love and community that keeps me.
This year we are giving ourselves GRACE, not rushing the process, and knowing that we are ALWAYS exactly where we are supposed to be. Praying daily that my mustard seed faith and Favor precede me in every room, encounter and path I cross, and that I never forget WHO and WHOSE I am.
