Introducing Nick, Pamela, Tom and Kate Cox, the creative family behind HÁM. Collectively bringing together expertise and passion for all aspects of design.
Each family member has a unique area of interest. For Nick, it's architecture and antiques, while Pamela loves old English ceramics and New England-style architecture. Tom is passionate about the great outdoors, American architects, and Americana, and Kate's style centres around the English country home, folk art, and primitive design.
Their style mixes old and new, weaving playful colours and textures with a palette of beautiful natural materials. They don't just design a house, they create eclectic and timeless interiors filled with art, antiques, and intriguing objects, always sourced with their intuitive sense of style and fun.
Feel free to reach out to us, explore our @studio.ham store, and share your project ideas. We would love to hear from you! #HamInteriors

‘It’s like real escapism.’ If you look for it, inspiration for the home can be found almost anywhere - and sometimes the projects we learn the most from aren’t houses at all. Hidden within 300 acres of rewilded Devon landscape, Ukai is one of three cabins designed by HÁM Interiors for Cove Valley, where compact living becomes an exercise in thoughtful design. ‘As the final cabin to be completed, its design turned out to be the crazy fun one at the end,’ says Tom Cox. With a space this intimate, tranquillity lies in the careful design detailing and intricate layering, familiar hallmarks of the HÁM design approach, distilled here on a smaller, more immersive scale. Tour the woodland cabin in full at the link in bio now.

While everything in Plum Cottage’s kitchen is made bespoke by HÁM, the design takes inspiration from a Georgian prep kitchen, incorporating antique-style pieces to evoke a sense of permanence and timeless elegance. A deep-stained open plate rack sits alongside classic Delft tiles, adding layers of character.
The lower cabinetry, painted in a warm ochre hue, perfectly complements the range’s earthy red, while a simple fabric curtain softens the overall look. This thoughtful approach creates an authentic feel, as though the space has been lovingly curated over time.
Do you think our design complements the rustic charm of the original architecture?

Homes by the coast are a fine balance.
It’s not about being overly coastal or leaning too heavily on the theme - it’s about layering artwork and antiques, and creating storied interiors that feel considered and lived in. We keep things subtle, balancing colour, detail and finishes to create a cohesive, finished look without being too on-the-nose.
From Georgian houses on the estuary to small seaside cottages, it’s always about building spaces that feel rooted in their setting, while still bringing comfort, warmth and a sense of escape.
1. A beautiful antique dresser filled with found objects and topped with an old pendant sign that we updated by hand.
2. A bespoke kitchen that we hand-painted on site, with a brass splashback and hidden extractor.
3. A stripped-back, then carefully restored room with custom furniture, a brass picture rail and @studio.ham art.
4. A bathroom with absolutely every detail considered. Custom artwork, a reclaimed cabinet and bespoke seat detailing.
5. A fun twin room with bold colours and @studio.ham art.
6. A new bathroom with an old-school appeal. A @studio.ham vanity, restored mirror with shell detailing, and a new glazed partition specially painted to look as though we found it at the back of a shipyard.
7. A cosy coastal room with antique woolwork and a campaign chest set against @christopherfarrcloth 's Ravenna wallpaper.
Which is your favourite coastal project of ours?

In the March issue of The English Home, you can read about how Plum Cottage was transformed from a once-neglected Grade II house into a warm and characterful retreat, with a little insight into how we achieved those textured walls in the sitting room.
As Jess @cornishwife.cornishlife , our wonderful client, says, she called on us to do what we do with colour, push boundaries, be bold, and layer it all so it looks evolved.
Thank you to @englishhomemag for featuring the project.

A closer look.
Set within a historic house on a Devon estuary, this bathroom is all about quiet details and craftsmanship.
The standout @watermonopoly bath, finished with a delicate blue line hand-painted by us, is complemented by @drummonds_bathrooms taps and a @matildagoad bath caddy. Reclaimed wooden floors run seamlessly into a flush marble shower mat, while the shower itself is a piece of art, with a bespoke Carrara marble architrave and delicate beading off-set by the basket and Delby shower set shower both by Drummonds.
An antique towel rail and reclaimed cabinet add history and depth, while the artwork, vanity, and joinery were designed and made bespoke in-house.
It’s in the details where the story really lives. Photos by @willslater53 .
We love a challenge here at HAM, and this family home definitely delivered.
Set among the greenery near Henley-on-Thames, the existing building had grown over time with a mix of additions. After living there for many years, the family realised they weren’t as comfortable as they could be - it just wasn’t working for them. That’s where we came in.
We don’t do compromises, so we’ve submitted planning for a full rebuild: a Georgian-inspired home designed for modern family life, with space to live, work, and entertain.
Architecture and interiors are designed together, without compromise.
We’re breaking ground later this year on The Orangery House, and we can’t wait to share more with you then.
Do you think we got it right?
We may have saved the best for last with the final piece of this historic project. Based on an estuary, this family home called for a timeless bathroom (for the grown-ups) - rooted in the past without tipping into old-fashioned. We kept the palette deliberately muted, letting the details do the talking.
There are so many beautiful details that we will share more about soon - think reclaimed floors, the best bath you have ever seen, oversized brass bathroom fittings, classic marble, a bespoke vanity, antique finds, and artwork made in-house.
Do you think we got the vibe right?
More details to follow…
