Would you believe this table is in the Chicago suburbs and not a seaside taverna in Mykonos, Greece? *make sure to swipe through to the end to see the before & after🤍 As we are in the month of love (and could use a mental escape from this brutal winter) what better way to celebrate than with a proposal story that started in Mykonos, Greece & continued with a family engagement dinner right here back home captured beautifully by @ashleelcole 🤍 We leaned into the romance and celebrated @mykonosgreekrestaurant designing the evening around the iconic Kyma wave plates @themiszc a nod to the sea that inspired the entire tablescape🤍 Blue & white textures, striped menus, bold cobalt glassware and warm orange accents (a wink to October and the groom-to-be’s love of the @chicagobears & @illinois1867 🧡💙) layered together to transport guests to a coastal taverna. We added flowy white draping, hung wicker lanterns over the center of the table and filled a dessert bar with Greek pastries + the sweetest sugar cookies (the postcard cookie from Mykonos🥰 how adorable) transforming the space to create an intimate celebration🤍 An evening overflowing with love, laughter & excitement for the next chapter for Peggy & Tom. As we stood in front of the iconic Mykonos windmills trying not to get swept away by the strong Aegean winds, Tom took out a box from his pocket and asked me to marry him. I said YES! The best day of my life! 😍
