#3 in combined print and #2 in paperback.
When I got the news, first I laughed, cried, and felt like puking in the span of 30 seconds. And then I looked at the books I was next to on the list.
The number one spot belongs to a book called Theo of Golden. I read it last year, back when it was self-published, because my pastor recommended it to me.
The last slide of this post is a clip of the author (Allen Levi) talking. I just had to share because it felt like such a full circle moment to be on the list with him.
A friend of his gave him the advice: “Always remember, at the end of the day, the thing that matters most is the applause of the nail scarred hands.”
Before writing Just Friends, I asked God if I should. I really believe that He led me to write so that I could process grief.
If it can now bring any catharsis to you, any joy, that amazes me beyond belief.
God promises a crown of beauty for ashes to those who mourn. He takes dead things and brings them to life. I have to laugh. He’s always weaving stories I never see coming.
First half of book tour has been more than a dream come true.
