đŸŽžïž Look Deep Dive — The Golden Age For The Golden Age, selected at Cannes Classics — @festivaldecannes 2026, the team used Diachromie and Diaphanie to tackle a very specific visual challenge: bringing together archival and contemporary footage, across both black-and-white and color images. Working with @martin_roux_cinematographer , AFC, the tools helped refine contrast, colorization, saturation and texture, while preserving the cinematic quality of the different materials. âžĄïž Swipe to dive into the look development process. 👉 From watchable images to meaningful ones. Before #Diachromie & #Diaphanie were even released, we presented their underlying philosophy at the AFC’s Look Development Seminar during Camerimage 2024. This session introduced our approach to look development: moving beyond LUTs, towards parametric tools and controlled behaviors. No magic button here. Just a series of very intentional moves. This look was built step by step, with smart back-and-forths between modules. Contrast was shaped with a subtle bleach bypass feel, then refined through Color Tone Curves and 3D Vertex Transforms.
