2025 - what a rollercoaster. I’ll just skip the struggle with health, friends, family and focus on the nice things instead. I travelled, I learned a lot, I met friends, I went to concerts and visited art shows, I ran fast, I had a lesson in urban sketching with coline_ebb , I gave a talk and - believe it or not- fell from a stage. I did not release any music in this year of change for the music business, but I’m starting 2026 with my head full of ideas. Let’s see what happens next. Meanwhile, here are my two favorite albums of 2025: mog - dream of mog (@mogmakes @aural_canyon ), various artists - all the young droids (@night_school ). Thanks friends, let’s catch up soon!

2024 - what a year! It started strong with releases on @verydeeprecords (w/ @dasandereinternet ) and @signalweltfunk - followed by a mix for @aquarius__sugar in spring and a night of DJing at the closing event of my favorite wine bar @salopp_vinothek (so sad to see you leaving) - thanks for having me to all of you! In other news: I started a new hobby, learned how to swing the hammer drill, met friends, travelled a bit and enjoyed my usual food & wine treats. Today I ran against the clock for the first time ever, and I think that concludes the year well. I’m looking forward to a 2025 with more music, and hopefully some live shows as well, and of course with all of you: my friends. I keep it short this year: May we live in less interesting times!

@verydeeprecords turns ten these days. We’ve been circling around each other since then, and I have been collaborator, remixer, customer, contributor, amongst other things, while they have been doing their thing, and not taken for granted: being friends. So when they asked me to contribute a song to their 1 years anniversary sampler, there was no option than to ask @otomatikmuziek to join me on bass, and dub something out. 🫶

While a turbulent year comes to an end, let me take a minute to share my take on it. 2023 started strong with a cozy show at @sb.spacebetween - a location which was flooded in heavy rainfall only months later. You’ll be back and stronger, I’m sure. Most of the year I was busy finishing my album Tangerine Elm, which found a home at @otomatikmuziek . Also my track „Black Sand“ was part of a beautiful compilation on @signalweltfunk . In 2023 I got trained in Mental Health (@mhfaersthelfer ) and in sparkling wine (@rotkaeppchen_mumm_academy ), and I can recommend both. I met new friends and old ones. I enjoyed the cuisine abroad and around the corner, and I climbed a mountain - well, actually a bus took me there. I visited concerts, small ones, large ones, alone or with friends, and it was great to see the @musikverein_nbg back again at booking incredible shows, like @mcyallah . Looking forward to many more in the @softspotnbg in 2024! So thank you, I mean all of you, who made 2023 2023. Swipe for me looking silly.

So happy to see the release of my latest work Tangerine Elm on @otomatikmuziek today. Tangerine Elm concludes the trilogy that was started with „A Nightmare, An Elm Street“ (2013) and continued with „Fly Pan Elm“ (2016). @otomatikmuziek writes: „Prepare to embark on an ethereal musical odyssey, where AN ELM’s sonic landscapes blur the lines between the familiar and the uncharted, inviting you to explore the limitless possibilities of sound and imagination.“ - Tangerine Elm is now available via Bandcamp

Another year that passed so quickly, yet brought so many changes! Getting married. Enjoying the freedom to travel. A freedom that does not come for free, as we all shall not forget. Collecting memorable moments in Germany, Portugal, Ireland, France… Back at playing shows too. Who knew that my „Lockdown Hobby Project“ would be continued on stage? Thanks @otomatikmuziek for organizing and @laila_quist + @guenni.ghetto for having me. That new set was intended for @adm.ved - but I played a messy DJ set instead that night, so thanks for the opportunity to challenge myself. Discovering new spots, in town and abroad, ending up in weird spots as well - did someone say Sausage-Hotel? Thanks for the connections made this year, either planned or coincidental. I’ll be back on stage soon, more releases are in the pipeline for 2023 as well. Let’s catch up soon!

@otomatikmuziek invited me to join an upcoming DRNTTCKS show, 15. 10. in Würzburg. Looking forward to it! It’ll be the premiere of an all new set.

What a year! So many places I liked, so many people I met after a long time - or for the first time, and 3 very different gigs. Thanks @heizhaus.nbg for having me. I rarely do DJ sets, so this one was special. Thanks @cairo_wue for having me and @hkhkhkhk_org - we came from 0 to stage in 6 weeks, and that was so much fun! (Cheers to @z3m3nt ) Thanks @itisnthappening - I think never has a gig of mine been postponed that often. But when it finally happened, it couldn’t have been any better. I guess @subrihanna agrees ;) To have made some new connections with people I’ve never met before in a year of shutdowns and lockdowns fills me with hope for 2022, so cheers to you as well. So what else remains of 2021? Memories of me and @subrihanna dancing at the @z.bau Biergarten during a thunderstorm after a @functionlevelmarker rehearsal. Handing over a yoga mat to @zimoshka in a scene that could as well have been a showdown in a western. A new favorite restaurant. Soldering with @hkhkhkhk_org until we’re out of parts. A weekend at the Ahrtal, two weeks before it’s flooded. Kind support by @weingut_vondertann for my endeavors in franconian dolce vita. And many more.
