While Abby’s away at @windermereschool , one of my favorite places in the house is standing in front of her bookshelf. Not only do I find great books to read, but I get to feel both proud and like I’m getting to know her a little bit better.

Heartwarming, fun, delicious, and a tad surreal to be back in ATL for the past week. Got to connect with so many great friends, play some jazz for a great crowd, randomly run into @adamstewartfristoe at Publix, and oil up my rusty badminton skills at the Art Farm. All this and the trees were showing off like this the whole time. Headed home to Scotland now after 3 weeks on the road in London, NYC and ATL. College tours for Abby in London and NYC. Seems like just yesterday that she won the coveted “Rocket of the Month” award at Mary Lin Elementary for being the most “ready to learn.”

✨ Wrapping up an unforgettable summer ✨ From Amsterdam to London and back to Scotland and another Festival season, it’s been a summer full of joy, learning, and new beginnings. I love this photo, taken by our dear friend @jill.orenstein just minutes before we drove Abby back down to England to start sixth form. One of the things I love most is how the photo of Abby at age five in the @frazercenter playground is looking back at us from the mantle. Full circle. ❤️ Of course, a big special daddy bear hug shout-out to Abby! She spent part of her summer at the London School of Economics diving into social entrepreneurship, and not only thrived but also won a major award that will bring her back this fall for an internship. Incredible! 🙌 We’re also so proud as she begins sixth form here in the UK (the final two years of high school), after doing brilliantly on her GCSEs. Just like her uncle @james.kime , she seems to be developing a passion for economics and social impact, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where this curiosity leads.
