It’s not every day that you find yourself in a 60lb camera setup at the top of a mountain at 5am with the incredible @jimmychin
This trip to Jackson Hole was a special experience and reminded me that as filmmakers we’re truly lucky to never know where the job will take us. I feel very blessed that 10yrs into this career I still feel like the same nerdy kid with a camera chasing dreams.

Mama Sher Bear,
What an honor it has been to be blessed by your spark and your enthusiasm for life. You had a magnificent way of making people feel special- taking them in, creating art with them, loving them, and devoting your energy to helping everyone feel valued beyond measure.
You traveled down to the beach in ’75 and found a plot of land nestled between sand dunes and oak trees. You designed every home Dad built and raised three kids in them, giving us the most beautiful childhood. Our home was always a gathering place, where all of wonderful family and friends made the best memories together.
Your and Dad’s relationship was absolute magic, an example of the truest love.
We were the kids feeding foxes from the back door, playing on the beach, and painting with you, all while the Beatles played in the background (and you somehow looked so beautiful doing it.)
You blessed us with artistic portals that transported us to vibrant sunsets, fields of flowers, and the iconic eras of the ’60s and ’70s. Effortlessly cool.
You were a true humanitarian who cared deeply about people and the Earth. You showed your character through service- delivering Meals on Wheels for over 15 years, protesting for what was right, and taking anyone (or any animal) under your wing who needed your love and support.
I hope to be half the mom you were. You are truly my very best friend, and I hope everyone gets to experience a bond as close as ours.
It isn’t supposed to be this way, and I’m going to miss you so much. But how lucky am I that it hurts this bad?
I hope to see you in the glimmers of the universe- in the sunsets you paint for us, through hummingbirds, numbers, perfectly timed songs, rain, and all spectrums of light. I hope to see you one day through my future children, and I know I will. It’s impossible for your legacy not to live on 🕊️🎨
