Great people, creative ideas, and goosebump moments this weekend in Zurich 🧡 EN: When Sarah started playing the piano in front of the 70 challengers and hackers, the world seemed to stop for a moment. She had not played for years due to a neuromotor disease. This weekend, her team built a custom support frame, making her play again. Dirk has a hand impairment. His team developed a hand brace that lets him steer his scooter with both hands and gives him back a piece of everyday freedom. Claudio is a physiotherapist with a speech impairment. His team developed a communication tool that speaks with his own voice. It turns keywords into sentences that matter in his job. Nadja has lost almost all ways of communicating over the past years. Her team reconfigured her communication system so that she can reply to yes/no questions from the people around her. Patrick is an enthusiastic paraglider. His team developed a telescopic gripper to prepare his glider without having to move his wheelchair over rough starting ramp terrain. Markus is an advocate for inclusion. His team developed a fully customized seat for his hand bike that keeps him safe and comfortable when he races down the road. Six challenges, six teams, and six stories we will remember with pride. HackaHealth goes Germany 🇩🇪 Hackathon Stuttgart: 28–30 November 2025 EN: HackaHealth crosses borders. With hackathons organized in Geneva, Zurich, and Lausanne, and HackaHealth Go! operating nationwide, we’re well represented in Switzerland. The next orange dot on the map is Stuttgart. Google.org has awarded HackaHealth the largest grant in our history. A financial boost allowing us to launch “HackaHealth Go!” Since 2018, HackaHealth has brought together hundreds of participants across hackathons, courses at ETH Zürich and EPFL, and other events. Last week, we kicked off “HackaHealth Go!”. Our new Google.org-backed platform tackles everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities in open projects. We will be able to follow up on ideas sparked at our events and courses, and financially support new projects initiated within our community. To start it all, we brainstormed solutions for 3 challenges during a mini-hackathon at the #AccessibilityDiscoveryCenter -#ADC at #Google Switzerland in Zürich. Looking back at a great hackathon weekend in Zurich, everyone had their own highlights: from finding ideas with the team while enjoying delicious food to making the challenger happy when testing the prototypes.
