Building of @hack_modular EMS 1606 Relay! Some kind of droney thing in the background where the relay switches between the @musicthingmodular drive and london drive + the actual sound of the switching being picked up by Mikrophonie. Not quite sure what I’ll be using this module for but I love the mechanical nature of it. Reassuring somehow! Love the details like using flat head screws. Got it at the @thonksynth sale! What a 24hours +1 minute it has been. We set ourselves the challenge = Canwe build a complete Formant Synthesizer in just 24 hours? And we did it! With a team of 10 dedicated synth nerds, we constructed this modular system based on the legendary Formant design published by Elektor magazine in the 1970s. Huge thanks to Ģirts Ozoliņš @girtses for reviving this classic with a brilliant DIY kits! The OG design has been challenged with upgrades like MIDI, 12V, pitch and gate transfer, a gucci beauty case, easy back panel rewiring. definitely worth for on your next crown in your studio or making the stage rattling. Sam, Mitch and Johnny! What a team running the @thismuseumisnotobsolete . Love it to be there. Such a warm host you are and seeing this big heads with a mind of a master in action is purely inspirational. @lookmumnocomputer @hack_modular And most of all thank you to the hardcore soldering nerds, clearly we couldn’t make it without you.
