It shows the insertion of two courtyards into the length of the house. Construction is now underway on this exciting new home in Seacliff, SA, designed by @ha_arcWe have been collaborating with our friends at @littlebuildcoadl on this special project and are thrilled to see it starting to take shape.We have ALSO been working with @candour.cc and @sustainable_hardwoods to implement their parallel laminated timber (PLT) structural system as part of the home’s fabrication methodology. Borrowed space is a common theme in our urban projects. We work hard to make spaces feel generous even when projects are modest and contained. The laundry is located in the cupboard in the main bathroom at Ayr House. Ayr House is a small footprint home in the inner west of Melbourne, designed for entertaining. The kitchen is entirely functional, yet considered in its composition, and to be enjoyed. The kitchen island also doubles as the meals table and the central place to congregate. Functional storage is consolidated along the rear wall.
