Announcing SQUINT, my very unofficial/official production "brand"

Over the years I've always just operated as me myself and I, just a freelance director/editor. I never really wanted to manage a company or anything, but just thought of myself as an artist.
That's still the case, but I needed to grow up a bit and make some moves. It started as just wanting to make an LLC for biz purposes, and I couldn't bear to name it "Aidan Guynes Filmmaking, LLC".
Then, I realized maybe it was a good idea to have a separate entity than me as an artist. I thought maybe it would be a good way to separate my commercial work from my art work, because sometimes they don't feel congruent (it's hard to make commercial/client work feel "true" to your creative voice, at least for me).
But also, it could be a place where I can build more of a team, nurture other creative voices, and eventually... It could potentially be a place where I could one day have my own films live.
So, that's what it is ... My very unofficial, literally just me, production brand. I'm still very much just your neighborhood freelance director/editor, and I still love working with other production companies as a hired gun, but this is just an evolution of another side of my work.
Hope to do more with this over the next year, and looking forward to collaborating with more of you as it grows. For all the clients out there, peep my drip.
