Congratulations to the FTQEE Edge Stand Up 301 class!
I am so proud of each of you and love this community so so much!
This is why I do what I do— to help more people believe in themselves, speak their truth and delight in the talent of femme, them, queer and folks who support them.
Thank you to Eillen Nolton, Nicole Melnyk, Jacob Russell, the Go Crew and everyone who came out to support Jodi Flavell, Karen Liska, Sugha and Kelly Marco!!!
Next round of FTQEE Fundamentals Stand Up 101 starts in April!

This past week, our fall 2025 cohort members workshopped their Circle scripts in order to practice before they facilitate spaces in the community. Here, Abigail Parker workshopped her would you rather activity.
my tradition on Dr. Martin Luther King Day is to read his words and listen for his voice. today i heard, “there is nothing new under the sun.” this 1962 speech written for the United Packinghouse Workers Union in Minneapolis could have been written today about AI. In his closing,“We will have no fear of the future if we master together the task of the present.” together. the task of the present.
i wrote an essay about labor and togetherness in the anthology @blacksummersbook due out this April. preorder your copy at the link in my bio and share/post your insights.

…this one was just an amazing rental.
Only @tre_john_son son could make me break my two year sabbatical from my IG wall! (do ppl call them walls? grids)
i read Black Genius back in July just in time for the book launch in Philly, but summertime travel was hellish and after several hours and missed connections (ppl definitely don’t use those anymore) i didn’t make it.
a few weeks (?) later i rsvp to see Tre on his book tour in Chicago. Chicago’s close enough, right? There’s no layover and yet, again, the stars did not align.
*chews hay*
FINALLY, last night i got to see the homie discuss the people he loves, in the city he loves @freelibrary in conversation with @deeshaphilyaw A full moon miracle.
