This past September, we were delighted to welcome Alisa Bilyk to the Buckhorn as an Artist in Residence. Her visit marked the transitional shift between the summer and fall seasons, making Harvest the perfect theme for the zine she created during her time here.
Alisa conceptualized, photographed, and designed a 60-page zine to document the natural landscape of the Cuyama Valley and the importance of it within the lives of the Valley’s inhabitants. This publication explores the changing natural environment in the Valley through photographs, narrative, drawings, and plant specimens.
Purchase a copy of this limited-run zine in our online shop or at The Buck Stop Coffee Shop to take home some of the beauty and significance of the Cuyama Valley.
