Fermented lions mane from @karadow_fungi with ‘Pillas’ oat miso will be served at our 10-mile fermented supper next week.
We’re so excited about this one as we get to collaborate with @sandorkraut and @achefcalledchops (thanks to the @theoldcoastguard )
We managed to track down some of this ancient grain Pillas, via those in the know - thank you @harrigendall and inspired by the archive at the @thegardenershousepenzance - former head gardener William Watson was also growing Pillas.

This week in Growing Links we ended our 12 week pilot for diabetes with the best ever people, so privileged to meet everyone, we did Mousehole Farmers Market with our lovely produce, we visited St Micheals Mount with our volunteers thank you we loved it, the weather gave us blue skies and our seedlings flourished thank you to all the people who pop along to water them, we picked flowers bunches for the first time this year, our canteen served lunches and dinners and one of our favorite people got the keys to their own flat after 3 years without a home, shadow a nervous dog took a treat from my hand it was a big day for both of us, Katrina meccano made us the best ever leaflet for our veg bags Thank you for volunteering Katrina we really appreciate your skill and kindness, Thank you to all our volunteers who without you we would not be able to keep our core mission going which is to provide a hot meal, cooked with LOVE and served with KINDNESS. 🌷You might find yourself: harvesting veg, listening to the birds, weeding the polytunnels, planting out, enjoying a delicious and healthy veggie lunch, printing apple trees, taking a moment to enjoy nature and reflect, meeting new friends and fellow nature lovers.
