Maintenance should be part of the design practices

A void of 250 sqm, for 10 meters in height is reached through a labyrinthine path dug into a dense vegetation. There are 2,500 cubic meters of plant mass removed from a poplar grove on the banks of the Sile, in the province of Treviso, Northern Italy.
In this place, where woodchips are produced, the group has created what it calls a “manifesto around the maintenance of nature, which is opposed to traditional gardening and landscape.”
This place distances itself from the idea of a garden that “denies nature,”
This is in opposition to the idea of genius, inviting us to reconsider what has never been thought of as having artistic value: the gesture of maintenance, that of the farmer who continually plans and redesigns the land with the soil and the plants

La manutenzione è progetto
.
Un vuoto di 250 mq per 10 metri di altezza, a cui si arriva attraverso un percorso labirintico scavato in una fitta vegetazione. Sono 2.500 i metri cubi di massa vegetale sottratta a un pioppeto sulle rive del Sile, in provincia di Treviso.
In questo luogo, dove si produce il cippato, il gruppo ha realizzato quello che definisce un “manifesto intorno alla manutenzione della natura, che si oppone al giardinaggio e al paesaggio tradizionali”.
Concettualmente, questo luogo si distanzia dall’idea di giardino che “nega la natura”.
Ciò intende contrapporsi all’idea di genio, invitando a riconsiderare ciò che non è mai stato pensato come di valore artistico: il gesto della manutenzione, quello del contadino che con la terra e con le piante continuamente progetta e riprogetta il territorio
