Gaubert onderzoekt informele communicatienetwerken zoals clandestiene radio, amateuruitzendingen en verstoorde frequenties waarin collectieve stemmen doorklinken. De Limburgse piratenzender vormt daarbij een belangrijk vertrekpunt: als lokale mythe én als strategie om dominante systemen te omzeilen en ruimte te maken voor emancipatie. Haar residentie vindt plaats binnen de context van de Nouveau Grand Tour NL (Institut français NL), samen met o.a. Brutus (Rotterdam), Drawing Centre (Diepenheim), EKWC (Oisterwijk), Het Lage Noorden (Marrum), NIAS (Amsterdam), Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam) en Willem Twee Studios (Den Bosch). ->> 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 (𝗡𝗟) 📍 Atelier / Ruimte in de Stad Darcy Neven is gastkunstenaar in Heerlen en presenteert haar praktijk en lopende projecten. Haar werk functioneert als een ecosysteem waarin schrijven, tekenen, schilderen, koken, thee maken en keramiek samenkomen. Tuinieren vormt de kern: via het kweken van voedsel, kruiden en bloemen onderzoekt ze relaties met natuur, autonomie en gedeelde verbondenheid. Ze werkt vanuit een proces van vertraging en heroriëntatie op maatschappelijke systemen, en ontwikkelt haar praktijk verder in klei binnen het Atelier in de Stad. In het project We all just want to be loved onderzoekt ze hoe persoonlijke en collectieve spanningen zich manifesteren in haar werk en praktijk. Ze wil graag in gesprek over hoe radio wordt gemaakt en gebruikt als collectief, politiek, experimenteel of hobbyistisch medium. Onderwerpen zijn o.a. uitzenden, bouwen van transmitters/antennes en het ontwikkelen van radioprojecten of geluidswerken. What leef could life be? All the noise, soms wazig. MEER Kunst Kijken Om Je World Wide Connection UITVOGELEN. Tijdens de vorige workshop van trans→actie met kunstenaar @heimprofiburger (Krista Burger) gingen we aan de slag met een brainstorm aan woorden, om die vervolgens (buiten in de zon) samen te voegen tot een gezamenlijk werk. De eerste try-out kun je als voorbijganger tegenkomen op het billboard bij Greylight Projects, lees hoe je wil! Voor de volgende workshop door Heimprofi (Krista Burger) pakken we weer de spraypaint op en gaan we gelijk samen aan de slag. Trek een oud shirt aan en neem je talen mee! 🚨Woensdag 6 mei om 15.30 uur met Heimprofi (Krista Burger) bij Greylight Projects. Leerlingen van het ISK kunnen zich bij hun kunstdocent aanmelden. Over trans→actie trans→actie is een culturele samenwerking tussen Internationale Schakelklas (ISK) Emma en Greylight Projects waarbij meertaligheid het vertrekpunt is. Middels verschillende workshops experimenteren we met artistieke praktijken rondom taal, vertaling, de woorden die we meenemen of soms achterlaten. Samen met uitgenodigde kunstenaars maken deelnemers een nieuw artistiek werk. Deelnemende kunstenaars zijn Alaa Abu Asad en Ulufer Çelik, The Hmm, Ella Kortis en Heimprofi. Het project wordt ondersteund door @fondsvoorcultuurparticipatie .

🚙 Last year I was a resident @greylightprojects and had 3 months to explore the surrounding area with my car that is my partime studio. Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by architecture and my art-practice extended more and more into public space as a site of negotiation, engaging with found materials and contingent conditions. By responding to specific environments I have been making site-specific works that exist in direct dialogue with their locations. In june I will have the opportunity to present @greylightprojects a condensed version of my research done during my stay there. thanks for the help @sourabh_nikumb

@borderland_residencies As a group we were part of @artduesseldorf because of the residence we all did with @borderland_residencies Heimprofi explores the intersection of architecture, landscape, and immediate surroundings. Her practice extends into public space as a site of negotiation, engaging with found materials and contingent conditions. Central to her work is a concern with the relational dynamics between diverse art forms and collaborative modes of production. By responding to specific environments, she creates site-specific works that exist in direct dialogue with their locations. In her research, she focuses on informal communication networks, such as local clandestine radio stations, amateur broadcasts, and disrupted frequencies through which community voices emerge. The figure of the Limburg pirate radio station serves as an interesting point of departure: both a popular anecdote and a site-specific strategy to bypass dominant structures and create space for emancipation. On Friday, May 15, she will give an introductory talk, sharing her practice and plans. some moments from the residency @greylightprojects @schrittmacher_festival i stayed and moved between london and heerlen in the netherlands from january to march to nurture a new iteration of slowth (habitats) (yet) ~ or perhaps to stay with the temporality and attention this work, this process, gives and asks for thank you to every single member of @greylightprojects team who are also artists and who supported my time with openness and generosity ~ once again i was reminded of the value (especially less visible but much felt) of artist-run spaces and initiatives ~ thank you to @schrittmacher_festival for this opportunity to stay with my process and share my work in relation to dance and movement ~ i’d also like to thank both for being open to shaping my residency in a flexible format that made it all possible for me and allowed me to travel back and forth between london and heerlen ~ thank you to all the wonderful beings who shared time and space with me over the three months 🩶 will be sharing more with more time ~ 1. first arrived in my temporary studio at Greylight Projects 2. could see the moon move across the night sky 3-4. cycled and walked around the quarries neighbouring the nature reserve Brunssummerheide 5. signals received from minerals 6. cable bodies in the studio 7. scrapyard visits 8. first proper snow i’ve seen in years 9-14. microchoreographies in the studio 15. snacked on dried citrus fruits from my mum in the Greylight Projects garden
