Nothing like a good old fashioned shotgun wedding.
@wolfmothermoore and I got engaged last Christmas and had planned on throwing a big wedding at Mass MOCA. But life had other plans and Erin found out she was pregnant in June of this year.
Instead of waiting a year plus to do the wedding, we decided to head to Vermont and elope. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
We exchanged vows on the Lake Chaplain docks and it couldn’t have been more perfectly imperfect. The dock we wanted to get married at was closed so we had to hop the chain. Hammer immediately had to take crap on the way out. It was a scene and Erin was calm and collected as she picked up dog poop in her wedding dress while onlookers at a nearby restaurant laughed at the absurdity.
You teach me to enjoy every moment. To not fight what is, but to surf life’s ups and downs with grace and humility.
As a partner, you are everything I’ve ever dreamt of and more. You’re beautiful, loyal, steady, supportive, romantic, funny, and patient. And now you’re going to be the mother to our child and I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey with you.
I love you more than words can express.
P.S. We’re still going to have a ripping party to celebrate, but just like most things it’s TBD.
