Becky Adams : Chwedl Hynod
Becky Adams : A Curious Tale
Ar gyfer yr arddangosfa hon yng Nghanolfan Grefft Rhuthun mae Becky wedi creu tref glan môr ddychmygol, a wnaed yn bennaf o gloriau llyfrau wedi’u hachub o gladdfa sbwriel. Mae nifer o dai, goleudy, swyddfa bost, a siop nwyddau gwnïo hyd yn oed i’w canfod yno. Cafodd sawl darn ei ysbrydoli gan adeiladau go iawn fel yr Art Shop yn y Fenni (mae hen focs dyfrlliw yn swatio yn ei wal) a’r godidog Whitechapel Bell Foundry.
For this show at Ruthin Craft Centre, Becky has created an imaginary seaside town, predominantly made from book covers rescued from landfill. There are several houses, a light house, a post office, and even a haberdashery to be found there. Several of the pieces are inspired by real buildings such as the Art Shop in Abergavenny (an old watercolour paint box nestles in its wall) and the wonderful Whitechapel Bell Foundry.

Graen + Ffibr : Pren a Phapur mewn Crefft Gyfoes
24 Ionawr – 22 Mawrth 2026
Pren a phapur – wedi’u cysylltu’n agos o ran tarddiad a chymeriad - ers amser maith, wedi bod yn hanfodol i fywyd dynol yn ymarferol a hefyd yn greadigol. Mae’r arddangosfa hon yn dathlu eu perthynas faterol ddofn a’u presenoldeb parhaus, nid yn unig yn ein cartrefi a’n hanesion, ond hefyd ym myd mynegiant artistig.
Mae’r arddangosfa hon yn dod â gweithiau ynghyd sy’n amlygu potensial esthetig, cysyniadol a cherfluniol y deunyddiau cydblethedig hyn, gan eich gwahodd i ailystyried eu lle nid yn unig yn ein bywydau bob dydd, ond hefyd yn nychymyg crefft gyfoes.
Grain + Fibre : Wood and Paper in Contemporary Craft
Gallery 1
24 January – 22 March 2026
Wood and paper – intimately connected in origin and character – have long been essential to human life, both practically and creatively. This exhibition celebrates their deep material relationship and their enduring presence not only in our homes and histories, but also in the realm of artistic expression.
This exhibition brings together works that highlight the aesthetic, conceptual, and sculptural potential of these intertwined materials, inviting you to reconsider their place not just in our daily lives, but in the imagination of contemporary craft.

David Nash: Doethineb Natur
David Nash: Nature Wisdom
Mae Doethineb Natur David Nash yn agor yng Nghanolfan Grefft Rhuthun ar ddydd Sadwrn 27 Medi 2025 ac yn rhedeg tan 11 Ionawr 2026. Mae’r arddangosfa newydd hon yn dwyn ynghyd dros drigain mlynedd o gerfluniau, printiau, lluniadau a ffilmiau Nash mewn arddangosfa epig i ddathlu ei bedwar ugain mlynedd.
Yn gerflunydd rhyngwladol enwog mae David Nash wedi bod yn byw ac yn gweithio ym Mlaenau Ffestiniog ers 1967. Mae’n adnabyddus am ei waith mewn pren, gan ddefnyddio coed sydd wedi cwympo’n naturiol neu y bu’n rhaid eu torri i lawr am resymau diogelwch, clefyd neu oedran yn unig. Mae’n gwneud gwaith o’r pren gwyrdd, gan gerfio ac ar adegau golosgi darnau. Mae Nash yn defnyddio’r goeden gyfan, gan chwarelu syniadau yn ogystal â’r deunydd i arbed unrhyw wastraff. Mae motiffau cyffredin yn cynnwys colofnau, badau, croesau, wyau, a’r soledau platonaidd – y sffêr, ciwb a phyramid.
David Nash Nature Wisdom opened at Ruthin Craft Centre on Saturday 27 September 2025 and runs until 11 January 2026. This new show brings together over sixty years of Nash’s sculpture, prints, drawings and films in an epic exhibition to celebrate his eightieth year.
Internationally renowned sculptor David Nash has been living and working in Blaenau Ffestiniog since 1967. Known for his work in wood, he only uses trees that have fallen naturally or had to be felled for reasons of safety, disease or age. He makes work from the green wood, carving and sometimes charring pieces. Nash uses a whole tree, quarrying the ideas as well as the material to waste nothing. Frequent motifs include columns, vessels, crosses, eggs, and the platonic solids – sphere, cube and pyramid.

David Nash - Nature Wisdom
A career highlight has been the curation of this exhibition now showing in all spaces and the courtyard @ruthincrafts
Such and honour and privilege to be given free reign to select from one of the most amazing archives and contemporary workshops, of an artist, sculptor and craftsman, who's career has spanned over fifty years to date.
Huge thanks to David himself, to Nia who made it all happen and guided with her wealth of knowledge, @sam.e.clayton and Mark, @artworksarthandling , the @ruthincrafts team and @w.philip.hughes (now retired Director of RCC) for giving me this and so many opportunities.
Thank you too to @jamesfox283 for opening the exhibition so eloquently.
What an amazing experience from start to finish!
The print studio at Ruthin also has a lovely selection of drawings and prints by David, plus a brand new sculpture, beautifully curated by @annfionajones
Do go and see it all if you possibly can. It will probably be David's last gallery exhibition in the UK.
