JUSPEACE creates a foundation for future creators and builds a structure for the continuous growth of emerging artists.
In collaboration with Spainโs prestigious video art fair LOOP Barcelona, at Loop Plus 2026 held in Haeundae, Busan,
Leading Investment & Securities and Artivist(@artiv.ist ) joined JUSPEACE Foundationโs direction for future generations.
At the international art fair where global artists and galleries participated,
we created opportunities to introduce the works of young artists.
We invited 14 young artists to participate in exhibitions, forums, and meetings with global artists.
Experiencing the global art scene firsthand will serve as an opportunity to show new possibilities and directions to young artists.
JUSPEACE will continue to create ongoing opportunities and connections, so that the next generation of creators can reach the global stage.

๐คโจ Thank you @juspeace_foundation and @loopplus.official for the invitation to be the presenter at this yearโs Artist Meetup in Busan. It was a meaningful experience to spend time with artists across South Korea and to share my practice and personal journey.
โค๏ธ Im grateful for the opportunity to speak on self sustainability, the power of purpose, and the importance of trusting your inner light in a world where many follow the light of others.

๐ธโจWeโve entered the final two weeks of Wallflowers, an exhibition exploring the floral still life as a space for reinvention across time at the @fryeartmuseum in Seattle.
Bringing together works from the Fryeโs collection and new commissions by contemporary artists, the show reveals how floral imagery holds ideas of beauty, impermanence, and cultural memory, while continuing to offer room for experimentation and subtle critique. Designed like a cultivated garden, the exhibition moves between intimate paintings and immersive patterns, finding new meaning in familiar forms.
For this exhibition, I created โBloom Beyond the Boundary,โ a site-specific wallpaper that enters into dialogue with the grid embedded in the buildingโs architecture. The grid becomes a symbol of the boundaries that contain us, both physical and mental. Flames move through it as a disruptive force, breaking down that containment and opening space for transformation and release. On the other side, a fertile garden emerges, with sakura blossoms falling like rain, gestures of growth, beauty, and the quiet act of nurturing what comes after.
Special thanks to museum director @jamileelacy for the invitation, and to @eacorkery for her insight and support throughout the wallpaper design process. Iโm grateful for the opportunity to create together.

Honored to be invited to @loopplus.official in Busan for a solo presentation of my media works in the institutional section. One piece was created in dialogue with the fairโs beachside setting, a looping image that opened a quiet conversation with the horizon, held in rhythm with the ocean like a metronome moving without end. A meditative work reflecting on how we spend our time.
I also presented my animated film Ascend, originally shown in my solo exhibition at the Long Beach Museum of Art (2024โ2025). The film draws from my grandparentsโ incarceration during WWII, where their love found space to grow within confinement; a story of loss, resilience, and transformation.
Sharing this work in Korea, and hearing parallel histories from visitors reflecting on the Japanese occupation, was deeply moving. Grateful for the exchange, the conversations, and everyone who spent time with the work.

Most of my work has lived on larger surfaces, but recently Iโve been drawn to something more intimate, working within the scale of a standard 8.5โ x 11โ sheet of paper. Thereโs something familiar about that size, like a page meant to carry a letter, a message or a moment held in time. These pieces feel like letters to and from a world I find myself within, one Iโm continually building, questioning, and returning to.
Each work becomes a small meditation, a quiet space to process time, memory, and lived experience. Within them, light and darkness, stillness and movement, the internal and external all coexist. They exist as offerings, fragments of a larger narrative, inviting viewers to slow down, reflect, and find their own place within them.

๐ ๐ธ Currently on view at the USC Pacific Asia Museum, โMy Memories of You are an Islandโ, 2026 is a meditation on memory, time, and familial lineage.
The work began as a wooden house that was set on fire, then recast in molten aluminum, transforming an act of loss into one of preservation. What remains becomes something permanent.
Resting on a mirrored surface surrounded by sand, the form becomes an island suspended between reflection and remembrance. Stones gathered across four generations of my family trace a constellation around it, while small sprouts emerge from within, growth shaped by what came before.
A gilded ginkgo branch in gold extends above, holding space for light, endurance, and memory. Inspired in part by โThe Giving Treeโ this work reflects on the quiet labor and sacrifices passed down through generations, an exchange of love and resilience that continues to carry us forward.

๐ฐ๐ทโค๏ธ Some forever moments from the last leg of my familyโs Asia journey in Seoul, before they tucked me into my stay here in Korea before heading back to LA so Spring could rejoin her classmates.
Over the past month, we traveled from Tokyo โก๏ธ Hong Kong โก๏ธ back to Tokyo โก๏ธ and then to Seoul, expanding our sense of the world and how we move through it together as a family. Itโs been nothing short of magical ๐ซโจ
I already miss my girls so much. As Greg Ito Studio settles into Gangnam and I begin production on new work here in Korea, I carry this trip with me, fuel for whatโs to come over the next couple of months.
Times in the world are dark, but keep shining as brightly as you can. Donโt lose hope! ๐๐ฝ๐ธโจ
