Really enjoyed producing this lovely film for Silver Spoon with director @abelrubinstein and @bullionproductions
Abel Rubinstein's film follows the main character Victoria through the eras from the 1970s to the Present Day. Telling this story over five time periods presented a lot of challenges. From casting a group of brilliant actors who have a physical resemblance (subtly aided with hair and make-up), to finding a location with multiple kitchens, to sourcing period-appropriate props and wardrobe, every department rose to the challenge and helped to add the nuances which bring warmth to the film.
We shot for one very busy but smooth day in South London. The agency and client loved the edit so much that they negotiated with Ray Davies to secure the rights to a re-record of ‘Victoria’ by The Kinks for the film.
