Our Seaweed Sour has officially surfaced!
The third beer in our Brew for the Wild series, this Gose is brewed with Sargassum seaweed sourced from our friends at @thegoodocean and wrapped in artwork by @rachitavora .
Crisp and refreshing, it’s infused with seaweed and a touch of salt, bringing subtle oceanic minerality, gentle tartness, and a clean briny finish inspired by the sea.
And yes, the wave counts as the beer’s lacing!
Introducing the third beer in our Brew for the Wild series.
The Ridley, a Seaweed Sour brewed with Sargassum, sourced with our friends at @thegoodocean , and illustrated by @rachitavora .
Rachita’s work as a printmaker inspired the look of this label, drawing from the texture and minimalism of linocut prints. Alongside the turtle, you’ll spot strands of Sargassum woven through the artwork, a nod to the seaweed used in the beer and an important part of the marine ecosystem. Notice the small ship in the distance, dwarfed by the turtle in the foreground - a visual reminder that conservation could hold a more central place in the marine economy, than human industry.
Launching at @sadhana_dell_arte on 16 May.

@gabrielladcruz from @thegoodocean has been showing us the ropes, from the many kinds of seaweed along our coast to why brewing with them is actually very cool.
Here she’s introducing us to Sargassum, the species of seaweed going into our next beer for Brew for the Wild, making this the first beer brewed with Indian seaweed.
Our seaweed sour lands on 16 May at @sadhana_dell_arte in Goa. Head to the link in our bio to RSVP.
See you there!
Edition 30| Friday Night Live at Leaping Windows
Deepika Seth is a singer, songwriter, and composer with roots in ghazal, creating music she describes as ‘Urdu indie folk’. Her writing explores themes of hope, love, and magic, with echoes of artists like Ali Sethi, Rekha Bharadwaj, Arooj Aftab, Novo Amor, and Bon Iver rippling through her sound.
2026 marks an exciting new chapter as Deepika prepares to release her debut album, ‘Qisse कल Ke’ — an exploration of her evolving sonic identity, often described as reminiscent of retro Bollywood melodies.
Catch her live this Friday alongside Sambhav Pratap Singh on guitar and David De Menezes on viola for a stripped-down, heartfelt performance featuring largely unreleased compositions

Volume 3 of Brew for the Wild is taking us to the coast, and for this edition, we’re working with Goa-based artist Rachita Vora!
@rachitavora is a printmaker, graphic artist, and illustrator whose work often draws parallels between the natural world and human experience, exploring themes of womanhood and motherhood along the way.
Before turning to art full-time, she spent close to two decades in the social impact space, most recently co-founding one of India’s largest nonprofit and policy publications.
We’re stoked to have her on board for this volume! Come check out her new label at the Brew for the Wild vol 3 launch @sadhana_dell_arte on 16 May. Head to the link in our bio to RSVP
@ashhnairrr and @_therealgoku went to the Great State HQ, Pune with one job: brew something fun!
So here’s SMASH 2, a new beer brewed using Superdelic hops from New Zealand. A sequel on the beer brewed specially for Boilermaker by the team @greatstate.aleworks
They got to see the whole thing come together, from the tanks to the final pours, and safe to say… this one’s tasting dangerous already.
Coming soon. Stay tuned!

One March morning, at the crack of dawn, we joined @gabrielladcruz from @thegoodocean for a seaweed harvest.
As part of Brew for the Wild Vol. 3 with @wildotters , we’ve been learning more about the coastline, the ecosystems around it, and the species connected to it, including sea turtles, whose adult diet often includes seaweed.
Gaby walked us through the many kinds of seaweed found along our shores, their quirks, uses, and the work her team at The Good Ocean is doing to better understand and build with them. Together, we harvested Sargassum, the seaweed now making its way into our next beer.
Coming up next: our Seaweed Sour, brewed in honour of the coast and the life it supports.
Join us on 16 May to try the beer, learn more, and celebrate another edition of Brew for the Wild.

Next up for Brew for the Wild: Sea Turtles
For Volume 3 of our conservation series with @wildotters , we’re turning our attention to the coastline and the species that quietly return to it year after year.
Along Goa’s shores, Olive Ridley turtles come in to nest under the cover of night, while other species move through offshore waters largely unseen. This edition is our small way of learning more about them, celebrating them, and supporting their conservation.
Coming soon, a new beer brewed in their honour.
