Some absolutely lovely USED kits have hit the website in the last couple of days! There was also an immaculate Pearl President in Ocean Ripple and a Pearl Export in Smokey Chrome too but they've already sold! There's also a used but very tidy Yamaha Live Custom in Amber Shadow Sunburst but it didn't fit neatly in the image so we left it off 😉 We also have a very clean Yamaha AHM 8"/10"/12"/14"/16"/22" in Autumn Red in queue and a Yamaha RC 9000 (RA era) in Cherry Wood and another RC 9000 in Piano Black but Graham is telling me not to upload them to the website because he wants them... About 30 cymbals, a handful of snares and more cases and stands than you can image are in the works but Luke photographs, edits, describes and uploads this stuff on his own so if he eventually pulls his finger out you might see it hit the website! ...and this is just the used stuff... Just another week at GRD! 🥁

We are very excited to announce that, in partnership with Sonor drums, we are hosting ‘An Evening with @gavinharrison ’ and what an evening it will be! Gavin Harrison is widely regarded as one of the most inventive and expressive drummers in modern progressive music. Best known for his long-standing work with Porcupine Tree, King Crimson and The Pineapple Thief, he is a highly respected, multi-award-winning musician whose playing has featured on countless studio and live recordings. Due to it being such a special event and to enable as many as possible to attend, we are hosting the event at Thornden Hall in Southampton - a purpose-built theatre space with high-level acoustics, lighting, and tiered seating. It’s a fantastic venue and there’s also plenty of free parking. Both Gavin and Graham would like the evening to be interactive with questions from the audience however, due to logistics (the size of the venue and the difficulty in getting a microphone around the audience), we have decided to invite you to send in any questions via email in advance. Graham will put a selection of these to Gavin during the evening. So, if there’s something you’ve always wanted to ask, please send your questions, along with your name, to [email protected] Gavin & Graham will be choosing the best ones in the lead-up to the event, so, if you want to get chosen, keep them short and make them interesting! Please note that this email address should only be used for submitting questions for Gavin. This is a one-off event so we expect it to sell out quickly, who knows when you’ll get this opportunity again? We can’t wait. This is not one to miss! An Evening with Gavin Harrison 📅 Thursday 30th July 2026 🏫 Thornden Hall, Winchester Rd, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2DW ⏱️ Doors 6:30pm | Start 7:30pm 🎟️ Tickets: £35 - FREE postage

Well, the cat is officially out of the bag… An Evening with… GAVIN HARRISON!!! Graham’s favourite drummer will be joining us for an exclusive event on THURSDAY 30TH JULY at Thornden Hall in Eastleigh. Graham will be interviewing Gavin to learn about his journey from first picking up sticks all the way up to playing for bands like Porcupine Tree, King Crimson and The Pineapple Thief as well as how he's managed to build one of the most impressive CV's in drums both in the studio and live. It also goes without saying that will be bringing his kit to show us all how it's done. If you haven't heard Gavin play, then stop watching this, get on YouTube and check him out! If you do know who he is, then keep watching to see Benson brutally attack Graham… Then buy a ticket. Although the venue is of decent size, tickets are limited with nearly half of them already gone following our newsletter announcement on Saturday. Don't hang around on this one. An Evening with Gavin Harrison 📅 Thursday 30th July 2026 🏫 Thornden Hall, Winchester Rd, Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2DW ⏱️ Doors 6:30pm | Start 7:30pm 🎟️ Tickets: £35 - FREE postage Tickets are available NOW on our website or by giving us a call, all tickets will be physical and sent out for free via Royal Mail… Please select this at checkout. 🥁🐶

LOADS of incredible drums have landed with us this week, some absolutely delightful used kits as well as some very tasty new ones too! Recording Custom 9000's, Sonor Signature, Pearl Masters, limited edition Tama's, a UK EXCLUSIVE Ludwig only available at GRD... Honestly, it's bonkers! Graham also talks about how much he loves people who listen to music too loud in public. SIGN UP TO OUR NEWSLETTER before 4pm to be one of the first to hear about a very special event we have coming in July... Probably one of, if not his favourite drummer... That's all we're saying. We're closed on Monday for the bank holiday, and that's about it, have a great weekend!

With these 2 legendary @yamahadrumsofficial snares both coming in over the space of a week... It seemed only right to have them side-by-side and played by our resident jazzman, Wilf. You don't see either of these drums very often, especially in such great condition too so it was a delight to hear them played properly. Enjoy!... and show Wilf some love in the comments, he likes jazz so doesn't have many friends ❤️🥁

These LIMITED EDITION Tama Starclassic kits have just been annouced and we already have each of them in stock! Starclassic Performer Hyperdrive in Dusty Rose or Smoky Gray 10" x 6.5" / 12" x 7" / 14" x 12" / 16" x 14" / 22" x 18" 14" x 5.5" Snare (Sold Seperately) Starclassic Walnut/Birch in White Pearl Config 1: (w/Black Nickel Hardware) 10" x 7" / 12" x 8" / 16" x 16" / 22" x 16" - Drilled Config 2: 13" x 9" / 16" x 16" / 24" x 14" - Un-Drilled 14" x 6.5" snare (Sold Seperately) These kits have been made in very limited numbers, with even less being sold in the UK market. Both the Performer Series and Walnut/Birch are some of the best drums you can buy for the money and, to some, outclass the more expensive Maple models. We absolutely love these finishes (yep, even the pink!) so it's a shame that they'll be off to their new homes in no time! #Tama #TamaStarclassic #Drums

Whilst we're on the classic Yamaha hype from earlier. How about these two... An Elvin Jones MSD1470EJ and Roy Haynes SD655RH snare drum. Two jazz legends in the same room once again. The Roy is on our website, the Elvin has just come in... Who wants to hear them side by side?

Just a reminder that the shop will be CLOSED on Monday 4th May for the bank holiday! It's not because of Star Wars, but because we've decided to enjoy the long weekend with friends and family. As ever, the website will be doing it's thing so if you need to place an order then please make sure to use it. We'll be open again as normal on Tuesday 5th where we'll be working through calls, emails and orders. It's worth mentioning that if you place an order after 2pm on Saturday for next day delivery then you're likely not to recieve it until Wednesday.
