I‘d rather see a sermon than to hear one any day. I’d rather one should walk with me than just to show the way; The eye is a better pupil and more willing than the ear; Advice may be misleading but examples are always clear. And the very best of teachers are the ones who lives their creeds for to see good put into action is what everybody needs.
To my boys,
Thank you all for trusting me to lead you on this journey. It’s been a long, hard road, and I’m proud of the men you’ve grown into. Couldn’t have asked for a better group of young men to walk this path with. You all taught me, patience, discipline, and a level of commitment I had never experienced before. You’ve persevered through adversity and uplifted each other till the very end and I pray you continue to do great exploits from here on out. Be the change you want to see and remember, anything worth doing is worth doing well. Continue to seek knowledge and the truth will set you free. It is going to be a long journey, you must fit tighten your traveling shoes. But my journey ends here.
To my chapter,
Thank you for trusting me with such an important role and for the endless support. I’m not perfect, and life for me ain’t been no crystal stair, but one thing I live by is striving to be the best in anything you do and leaving a lasting impression that remains even after you’re long gone.
When I first came into this organization, I struggled with my faith and walk even till this day. There were a lot of unanswered questions, and honestly, there still are. I still don’t know what the future holds. But one thing I do know is my motto as I live and learn is to dig and be dug in return and I hope I’ve lived up to that standard. I’ve made some lifelong friendships, memories, and connections I will forever cherish. For that, I am truly grateful. Much love to you all. See y’all on the other side.
