Our Founders gave us a legacy that must not simply be honored but carried forward. Their brilliance was never meant to sit untouched on a pedestal, it was meant to be lived, expanded, and lifted to new heights.
As we enter this new year of service, may we continue to be the Delta Sigma Theta our Founders envisioned: moving with clarity, acting with courage, and leading with conviction, upholding the high standards synonymous with our sisterhood.
We are One Delta. We share One Mission. And together, we will remain anchored in our legacy and evolve with intention!
Sorors, visit the Member Portal for all things #DST113 and join us in recommitting to the work ahead.

Additionally, the Honorable Gabrielle Kirk McDonald, member of Delta Sigma Theta, was honored with the Thurgood Marshall Lifetime Achievement Award which recognizes extraordinary, long-term contributions to racial justice and civil rights.
“We accept this award not simply as recognition of past work, but as a galvanizing call to continued action. We must go further, faster. Anchored in legacy, evolving with intention, and unwavering in our commitment to building a democracy that truly belongs to all of us.” - Cheryl W. Turner,@dstinternationalpresident

WE REGISTER.
All month long, we must show up — at registration drives, at community events, wherever our communities need us. Sorors, we want to see your chapters in action. Post your chapter's voter registration drive! It is our duty to ensure our communities are registered and ready. Voter registration is the first step to the ballot box and it is how we turn our communities' voices into action.

The branches of our glorious sisterhood have extended for the first time to the Northeastern Caribbean Sea with the chartering of our 1079 chapter, Puerto Rico Alumnae. As our newest international chapter representing the Eastern Region, Puerto Rico Alumnae will serve their surrounding community as a beacon of sisterhood, service, scholarship, and social action.
Congratulations to the 14 Charter Members who answered the call to evolve with intention and remain anchored in legacy as we continue to uphold One Delta, One Mission across the Eastern Region.
Motherhood is a journey where the days feel long and the years are short, yet the love poured into each moment leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime.
Today we honor our beautiful mothers — those who guide our steps, watch ahead for danger, and pour themselves into others without hesitation. From mothers by birth to grandmothers, godmothers, and every mother figure who stands in the gap, your love is the foundation upon which we stand.
We also hold space for our sisters experiencing the complexity of joy and grief on this day. For those navigating their own experience of becoming a mother, and those missing the presence of theirs — we see you, we are you, and we love you.
To every woman who has ever loved like a mother: your journey has paved the path we walk today. Anchored in the legacy you have built and evolving with the intention you have modeled, we carry you with us in every step forward. Happy Mother's Day!
