Somatic education considers the body, understood as soma, as the seat of intelligence and the primary vehicle of learning. The development of somaesthetic capacities allows for the expansion of the entire somatic perceptual system, facilitating a deeper understanding of the external world – both in relation to the physical environment and objects, and in intersubjective dynamics. By integrating holistic and body-centered practices, visual design education can be renewed, fostering more conscious, relational, and shared creative processes.
