Im never fully prepared when a new @pathobaugh2284 comes in. When I hung The Colossus Of Bikini Bottom yesterday my brain just about melted. It’s a strange thing to say about a painting of a giant SpongeBob but there is a lot subtlety. Come see it before it’s gone!

@jchambers has a coterie of returning characters in his work. The birdhouse is one of my personal favorites. First how does he manage to make an inanimate object have so much personality? Second there is an inherent alienness to it. Is it an empty home? Is there safety there? We know it’s raised because it sits on a pole. Is it looking down at us?
Purely on a visual level but I love how it pops in stark white against the patterns and almost neon background.

We are halfway through the second weekend of Jazzfest! It’s been so great to see returning faces! It’s a strange sort of time travel to see people once a year. In 16 years I’ve seen kids grow up and get married. I’ve heard about moves across the country and other big life stuff.
In that same vein @matthewhanceart1 and I have worked together forever. In that time I’ve had the pleasure to watch his ideas expand and refine. What a blast this journey continues to be!
