Calling all Little Art Legends! ๐๐๏ธ
To celebrate 10 years of GrainCorp silo art, we're inviting young artists (aged 0-12) to create their own silo art. We've designed two blank silo canvases for Little Art Legends to bring to life to go in the running to win one of three limited edition GrainCorp silo art merch packs. ๐
Head to the link in our bio to find all the entry details, and make sure to send this post to someone with a Little Art Legend to get them involved ๐

Cheers to ten years of silo art โโจ
This morning we celebrated 10 years of our silo art program with the local community underneath the Quirindi silos.
We were welcomed by Jason Allan, CEO of the Walhallow Aboriginal Land Council, followed by reflections from Cr Kenneth Cudmore, Mayor of Liverpool Plains Shire Council, and Ian Carter, President of the Quirindi Silo Art Committee. They shared how the mural has strengthened community pride and helped put Quirindi on the tourism map.
Coffees from Go Go Espresso, cookies from My Kookie Co, and the latest from @p.andaemonium made it the perfect morning.
And the best part? Weโre just getting started.

"From silo art, to silo art, to silo art" ๐บ๏ธ๐จ
Our 20th silo art project was recently completed in Birchip, Victoria - marking a significant milestone in our anniversary year.
This incredibly realistic mural painted by @kyletorneyart pays homage to the Boy from Birchip, Ray Neville, who despite all odds took home the 1948 Melbourne Cup.

At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
On ANZAC Day, we pause to honour the soldiers who served in WWI, many of whom came from regional and rural Australia and New Zealand.
From farming towns and close knit communities, they answered the call to serve โ and their families carried that sacrifice at home.
As the sun sets over the horizon today, we remember their courage, their service, and the enduring legacy they leave across the communities we continue to work alongside.
Lest We Forget. ๐
Across our region, remembrance takes shape in unexpected places
The GrainCorp Walpeup Silo Art, painted by @juliancla and @refuz_paint in 2023, honours Harold Thomas Bell โ a local who enlisted at just 16 and served with the Light Horse Regiment in WWI. Bold, emotive and deeply personal, itโs a tribute impossible to pass by without pause
As Anzac Day approaches, itโs a reminder of why we gather โ to commemorate all Australians who have served in times of peace and war. If youโre nearby tomorrow, we welcome you to join a local service

500,000 reasons to celebrate! ๐๐พ
Weโve recently cracked half a million tonnes of summer crop receivals, with a majority of those tonnes made up of sorghum (pictured above).
Sorghum is Australiaโs largest summer crop - with Aussie growers producing up to around three million tonnes per year.
Sorghum can be used to make baijiu - a clear, alcoholic spirit - and across Asia the crop is also used as livestock feed.
Have you ever worked a sorghum harvest? Tell us about it below ๐

We could watch Grain Handler, Ronald Buddle expertly transfer barley from our bunker all day! This grain later made its way onto a train for export from our Geelong port terminal.
Send this to a mate you reckon could use some pointers from Ron ๐

The story of the boy from Birchip ๐
In November 1948, Melbourne Cup history was made when Ray Neville, the 15 year old boy from Birchip, defied his 80-1 odds.
Having gained his jockey license just eight weeks prior, Ray and his horse, Rimfire, were the underdog duo the rest of the Group 1 circuit didn't see coming.
This local legend has recently been immortalised by artist @kyletorneyart on the GrainCorp silos in Birchip, Victoria, marking the 20th mural to join our silo art program in its major anniversary year.

Katamatite Turns 150 ๐
We're not the only ones celebrating a special milestone this year! Katamatite, in North Victoria, is celebrating a big anniversary - 150 years since the town was founded.
Back in 2023, artist @timbowtellart transformed the Katamatite silos with a mural that shares the townโs history and character.
The community is marking the anniversary this weekend with live music, food trucks and even a time capsule burial.
Weโll be joining the celebrations on Saturday, so if youโre nearby, feel free to stop by and say hello. Weโll have some goodies to hand out and activities for the kids! ๐๐
