After a six hour drive from Goppingen to Cologne, we checked in to our 5 star backpackers. This city is beautiful from the get go. Magnificent architecture, sky scraping cathedrals - it looks as good as it’s name suggests it smells.
Head to Stereo Wonderland (venue not a music inspired theme park). Meet the staff and our other band compadres for the evening, Peach Melba. A quick set up and soundcheck and the night is upon us. Doors open and I’d like to say I wasn’t, but I was blown away to see the place fill up! Peach Melba hit the stage and were fantastiche! (It’s my 2nd language now). A heavy/indie three piece. A cool sound made by cool people!
Our set felt like a banger and even though we’ve only got two shows left for the tour, I think we have well truly found our tour/sea legs. Massive thanks to Udo Hargarten for bringing us to Cologne and putting this shindig on! Oh and Happy Birthday for today, Udo!

FIRST OF ALL - THANK YOU to the countless people who helped get this out. It started as the most simple, sunny road with the aim of bringing nothing but joy and punk and yet turned into an incredibly long, often dark and always complicated road; there were many times it would have been far, far easier to give up on the original idea of music Pete and I loved as teenagers until this day, and just let the album sit in a drawer. But the light has to defeat the dark. Thank you to everyone who helped with this album, even with just one encouraging word. YOU RULE.
