it’s #cruxtank time!!!
I’m SO excited to get this pattern into your hands. To celebrate, it’s 20% off until march 18 at the link in my bio 🥳
A billion thank yous to everyone that helped me out with this thing from testing to cheering me on for months and months 🫶🏼 big hugs.
This tank top is designed for 60-70% stretch fabrics, has 2 length options, and a built in bra. I offer full B and D cup size ranges up to a 157.5 cm (62”) bust.
The level of support is going to depend highly on your fabric choice so this can be anywhere from a lounge tank to a workout top. AND after some really good feedback during testing, I added a section to the instructions to add optional elastic to the straps for extra support 🥳
The binding is definitely the crux (lol) of this pattern as its sewn in one continuous loop (at times you may find yourself lost in a tangled mess of fabric) but the payoff is SO SATISFYING and dare i say a bit magical 🪄 🦄 ☺️ I added even more detailed instructions + a sew-along youtube video since testing so I promise, it’s not as scary as it seems!!
I’ll be sharing some other info in the coming days but let me know in the comments if you have any questions in the mean time 🩷
This hat started with me googling how to crochet and somehow turned into one of my favourite things I’ve ever made 💫
Here’s a little look into the process!!
If you want to start sewing, this is for you 🫶🏼
I totally understand why sewing feels intimidating to start, buy my number one piece of advice is: you just gotta start!! I also get that figuring out where to start is no easy task either. So lemme make a case for elastic waistband pants 🫡
They might seem intimidating, but they’ll teach you SO many useful skills.
Also there are so many thoughtful patterns with amazing instructions out there these days. And you don’t need to know everything before you start!! Learn the basics, look things up as you go, learn how to fix your mistakes, and enjoy the process 💫
2 great patterns you should check out are the #lanepants by @hisydgraham and the #bfparker pants by @bfpatterns ☺️ Both have excellent instructions and are wardrobe staples that you’ll wear a ton!!
Or the green pants in this video are the #bisquetrousers by @vivianshaochen and I made them super early on in my sewing journey if you’re interested in pleats 💅
Anyways there’s something deeply magical about wearing clothes that you made yourself so.. i really think you should try it!! 🫶🏼

A certified yap for ya today 💫
I realize this chair is an extreme example but i hope it reminds you that you’re still allowed to buy things that bring you joy, that you will love and use for a long time, or that you just can’t be bothered to make!!
What’s one thing on your would-rather-buy list? Mine might be underwear 👀
happy #memademay 🫶🏼 i love this lil community so much and seeing everyone’s makes in May is such a blast. I don’t usually participate much because tbh i wear the same outfit most days and tbh that outfit is generally sweatpants but today i found myself in a slightly more fun cozy bright colorful stay-at-home outfit so thought I’d join in!!
Outfit details:
- Self-drafted fleece cardigan
- @paradisepatterns #sommarcamisole in a nylon atheltic knit
- @daughterjudypatterns #coetrouser with the elastic waist hack on their substack and made in punta di roma from @kattun_stoffe (will be sharing more details about these soon because they’re basically secret sweatpants that i feel good about going out of the house in and im obsessed 👀)
Fleece for Tom finally getting its moment to shine! 💫
It’s a simple lil number but i actually love this thing so much. The pattern is self drafted and very much a dupe of a Gramicci fleece. The cuffs are finished with a binding, hem is finished with a cinchable elastic + cord lock. A very quick and sayisfying sew that has gotten so much wear in the last ~5 months 😌
Also I made him put this on to model for me in 26 degree heat so the smiles may or may not be real 👀
Field testing Tom’s new shorts in Albarracín 🐛🌲🌞
I made these out of a thrifted denim jacket that I’ve had for a while but almost never wear. I used the DIAS pattern by @learnmyog because I wanted a pattern with a crotch gusset for maximum movability and climbability!!
I made size 40 with a couple of easy mods including:
- Adding 1.5cm to the rise
- Lengthing the hem by 4cm
- Changing the pocket bag a bit so that the bottom of the pocket bag isnt sewn into the hem
- Adding the webbing belt (i kept the elastic in the waistband too so it has both)
- Adding extra seam allowance everywhere to flat fell the seams for durability
I think this pattern is intended for more technical fabrics but lemme tell you I am so pleased with how these turned out im the denim! I think more people should make these!! These also fit me pretty much as well as they fit him despite us having very different shaped bodies which I was stoked about. Would maybe increase the rise a bit more on myself but thats just personal preference. Overall I think this a really great, versatile shorts pattern and will be making more!!
My boyfriend’s fave backpack was in need of some love 🫶🏼
This repair ended up being more involved than I thought owing to the fact that I decided to machine sew the patch on instead of hand sew which involved taking out of a bunch of the seams at the bottom of the pack 🫠 My sewing machine is too small to maneuver the pack around it so putting it back together was a nightmare 😂 But we made it work. Lesson learned! The lesson being that one I may need an industrial machine so I can sew some gear 👀
my @bedrocksandals clogs have been my absolute favorite shoe for the last 3 years and sometimes they deserve a lil care 🩷
not my usual sewing content but i’m a big fan of taking care of the things I own and making them last, whether I made them or not 🫶🏼
3 pairs of bottoms I didn’t think were cute enough to post… but a heavily loved me-made IS cute, ok!!
Pattern and fabric details:
1. #lmtopopants @leila.makes made in stretch ripstop nylon (150 gsm, 85% nylon/15% elastane). For my european friends you can get it from @kattun_stoffe (listed as “Sport Ripstop Stretch” on their website) and for my North American friends, the 5.2oz Airwave from @ripstopbytheroll is very similar!
2. #LanePants by @hisydgraham made in a heavyweight sweatshirt fabric from my local fabric store.
3. #BreezyShorts by @puff_and_pencil made in the same fabric as the first pants!
All worn with my fave #cruxtank of course 😇
