At the time, I was pet-less, adjusting to a new city, and, for better or worse, chronically online. It seemed like every e-commerce tab or design aggregate I opened, I was met with 5 new pet projects: built-in cat doors, sunken concrete dog beds, an exceptional array of animal clothing options. Where was it all coming from? Who was it for? Where were these animal owners getting so much disposable income? With the help of my editor, the one and only
@alanalevinson , that curiosity became a deep dive into the sudsy world of designer dog baths. My story is in
@dwellmagazine ’s May/June print issue—on newsstands now! I couldn’t be more thrilled. Thank you so much to all the amazing architects, designers, and owners who spoke with me.
P.S. While I’m net neutral on the dog vs cat debate, I’m happy to report I’m a new cat owner (two-times over). Seb and Goose, if you’re reading this: ILYSFM.
